10964H, 22000, 5/6, QPSK, these channels all now FTA, Channel 5 +1 (7720) will go FTA next week:

Channel 5 (four UK regions)
5*
5* +1
5 USA
5 USA +1

Anyone know how to get DVBViewer to show logo for 5* as you can't make a file with '*' in the name, and 5 alone is not working?

the easiest way would be renaming the channel and name the logo accordingly...

The logopack just marks it 5 as if that should work, maybe if I use 5_* it will work?

There is no Freesat EPG for these channels yet, although you can download Sky (OpenTV) EPG with EPGCollector as an interim measure, or just check Radiotimes or Sky TV guide.

Can't seem to get anything with * in to show a logo, settled on 5_X.

I tried the currency sign, but settled on "White sun with rays" ☼(U+263C). There's an "Arabic 5-pointed star" (U+066D) but it didn't want to position correctly in the filename. 5٭

Thanks & for the logos, think I'll stick with the X here as it seems a little cleaner, plus 5* is kind of 5 Xtra anyway :).

I couldn't get any of the extra Five channels until I manually added the frequency into the transponder file. I added:

n=10964,H,22000,56,1,|BSkyB

where n=last number in file+1
to the last line of transponder file Astra 28E.ini

Hi,

Maybe a little late but I have the logos show, I just names the 5* logo as 5 and the 5* +1 logo as 5 (eng)

I used 5 (eng) as the (eng) part shows up in dvbviewer channel list, if you look at the uk channel list, there isnt anything names as '5', not sure how it works but it does here.
