Hevc Recording not working 5.3.1

Hi, yesterday I tried to record the world finals that were transmitted on eutelsat 5a, I could watch but when I recorded only the audio streams where saved the video track was ignored, I really don't know if this is a bug or just not implemented yet.

P.S. Image quality was decent, just a little choppy. Also recording service 1.29 didn't streamed video only audio.

transmitted was encodet in Biss.

Yes but apart from that even in test transponders that are FTA the result is the same, so the problem isn't the encryption.

..did you restart the RS to update the channel list? If the stream was scrambled in BISS you could not possibly have used a CI module. All other methods can't be discussed here.

Forget the encryption, imagine is a fta channel just like "tve 4k" on hispasat, I can only record audio tracks from tp the video track that's hevc(h265/x265) gets ignored and its not recorded.

RS doesnt stream hevc track, only audio and I did the recording inside of DVBViewer main program.

maybe your PC is not strong enough to record 358Mb per second UHD stream...

It's an I7 with an ssd and you should get your facts straight because is not 358Mb/s is at is peak 30Mbits/s ... Even if it wasn't a hevc stream say a h264 stream is 60Mbits/s very far from 358mb/s

The processing power and transfer speed is not relevant for just recording any transport stream.

There might be an issue. I've tried to record sid-00001 from 19E, 10995H. If I tune to this channel, I can watch the HEVC demo without problems (i7 :) ). Pressing the direct recording button will yield a perfect recording from the recording service. Also a timer programmed in the DVBViewer results in a recording without errors. But if I set a timer from the web interface the recording will be broken. I have no idea why this happens. Setting a timer in the web interface is a pain in the ass because the RS doesn't support favorites but for the test I've made an exception and caught possibly a bug ;)

I can't reproduce it here. Are the discontinuities visible in the web interface -> status while the recording is going on or in the recorder log?

It's getting even weirder..

After your post I tried again but couldn't reproduce it. Now I had a 2nd try and there it was again. After the broken rs_timer_recording the card (Prof7500) was locked up (analysing 11994H in transedit showed the same massive disconties). After tuning to a different transponder the card worked again.Snap241.pngSnap242.png

Maybe a hardware/driver related issue?

Possibly but there must be a difference in controlling the hardware from a timer set by the DVBViewer and a timer set by the web interface.

No, I've just testet a recording of "sid-0001" with my buggy DD-Hardware (without "Ferritkerne" :innocent: ) but have no errors loke Griga, too.

Timer is set by web-if at 8:00:30pm (thats the reason for only 4min30 recording)
