Phyxsius7
I am using DVBViewer for the first time. I got everything to work except viewing with the webfront. The EPG data is visible in the webfront but when a channel is selected, the streaming config appears and when selecting "start stream" the player start but the stream will not start. There is only a progress circle which never stops. I am using: Windows 7 x64 DVBViewer 5.3.10 Recording service 1.29 Not sure which data (log, settings, etc) I need to provide on this post, so if you need any just ask. Can some help me with this? Tjod
Does the DVBViewer as local client (same PC with the RS) work for playback? Poste a support.zip Link to comment
Phyxsius7
DVBViewer uses recording service and functions fine. Using Webfront on the same computer results in the problem mentioned in my first post. At the moment I do not use DVBViewer functions on other computer on my network. I will post the requested file later this day. Link to comment
Tjod
Try the direct streaming in the web interface (with VLV player) does it work? Which version of the ffmpeg.exe are you using (the one in the DVBViewer folder)? Link to comment
Phyxsius7
as pro-mist the support file, better late then never, support.zip Link to comment
Tjod
In the support.zip the DVBViewer is using the TV card direct. That configuration is wrong. Run Help > Redording Service Wizard that should fix it. Link to comment
Phyxsius7
I have re-run the "Recording Service Wizard", unfortunately it did not help. support.zip Edited July 22, 2014 by Phyxsius7 Link to comment
Tjod
And what about the other question? Try the direct streaming in the web interface (with VLV player) does it work? Which version of the ffmpeg.exe are you using (the one in the DVBViewer folder)? Link to comment
Phyxsius7
looked around for a while but could not find the version number. before DVBViewer I use the klite program that adds ffmpeg video version 54.26, may 23 2014 Link to comment
Phyxsius7
in the mean while I also tried using xbmc 13.1 with the DVBViewer client add-on. xbmc shows all the epg data but when a channel is selected, it tries to start the stream but after a while it times-out, thus fails. same result as the webfront. Tjod
1) Try in the RS Web interface on the streaming page Direct connection > "Start Direct Stream" save the streaming.m3u and open it on the RS PC (no network involved) with the VLC Player. Is this working? 2) Run the DVBViewer via Start menu > DVBViewer Pro (Safe Mode) is the DVBViewer then working an RS client? Link to comment
Phyxsius7
1) no 2) no I will on a bisness trip for 2 days and will be back tomorrow evening. I will try to answer your questions tomorrow late. Link to comment

There's a lot of debug info at each attempt. I believe the user has been trying to stream encrypted channels. Maybe a FTA channel should be attempted before proceeding further. Link to comment
Phyxsius7
@QBox User Thank you for your reply. I can view the selected channels fine with DVBViewer. The problem is I cannot stream them to the Webfront, vlc player or XBMC. I am pretty sure that the cause is relayed. At the moment I can not do any test's until tomorrow. I will try your suggestion then, anyway. Link to comment
Phyxsius7
It was a good suggestion from "QBox User", FTA works fine on all clients (DVBViewer, webfront, vlc player and XBMC). Which setting should I change to be able to do the same for NON-FTA channel? Link to comment
Tjod
§ 13 Do not ask for or discuss plugins for descrambling/decrypting pay-tv or key-codes. Although the DVBViewer Pro provides full pay-tv functionality it must only be used in combination with a valid subscription of a pay-tv provider, a tv-card/box featuring a "conditional access module" (CAM)and/or the corresponding "common interface" (CI) with a smart-card. This applies regardless whether software-descrambling is allowed in your country or not. http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules Link to comment
