Manual Time Zone Removal

Usually Windows takes care of the time zone, automatically switches to daylight saving time and back etc. DVBViewer adapts to the current Windows settings if Options -> EPG -> Automatic Time Zone is switched on. "Manual Time Zone" allows for EPG times based on a different time zone than the one configured in Windows

Is there someone who really needs the Manual Time Zone setting? If yes please add a comment and tell us why. It would also be possible to remove the setting from the DVBViewer Options and handle it as a tweak (inTweaker.exe), if only rarely used.

:innocent:

My TV provider is sometimes messing with time zones. They take the TV/EPG signal from SAT and at times the ESD time zone is shown for some European country, not ours. So the ability to fix the EPG (and, to have the correct programme name in the recordings) is a must-have for me.

The DVB-T service in my country also uses a wrong time zone and thanks to DVBViewer I have been able to set the time for getting the EPG data correctly.

My request is that, if it's possible, Please keep this useful feature. I'd appreciate it.

and also thanks for this great software.

Because of a timezone bug, I need to add 480 minutes to the Difference GMT from the day one I use DVBViewer several years before, I keep this setting until now but actually I don't know whether I need it or not.

Then you should try "Automatic time zone" and make sure that the Windows Time Zone settings are correct.

The Windows Time Zone setting is correct and the Time Zone Automatic setting of Recording Service is ok, but there may be still has problem on DVBViewer, if EPG Time Zone is set to Automatic, some EPG data will be deleted away from Recording Service when DVBViewer first time run of everyday, it will not happen again on same day after executed Start EPG Scan on Recording Service even DVBViewer is restarted.

It is strange this problem only happens on one channel group (TVB channels here in HK), I remember similar EPG problem ever occurred on old version of Recording Service.

I made some tests and found the EPG problem is not caused by Timezone setting, sorry for misleading.

Even I use only Recording Service, open webinterface and stream a live tv channel, the EPG data of first few days will also be deleted. Now I use my old vbs script to disable EPG Receive option after every EPG Scan to prevent this problem.

Hi Tjod,

IRIB Pakage on 26.0E EPG need to change time zone. most STB's has auto change time for this Pakage and show epg correct. bust DVBViewer need to manual time zone change.

tank you
