Anysee CI ?

Recommended Posts

I have just loaded DVB and it works fine with my Anysee for the free (uncoded) channels., but the coded channels come out as completely blank. I can see that this question has been on the forum before but the latest action I can see is in 2011. What is the status now. Do I need to download any special program or any special settings ? CIAPI.dll ? As the last answer is so long ago I would presume that this has been incorporated into the program itself but maybe not ?

Thanks for input

You need the ciapi.dll in order to get the cam working inside the DVBViewer. As far as i remember it was/is part of the Anysee Software.

This one is quite old, but the one i tested successfully with the Anysee usb device i have here. Just put it into the DVBViewer folder.

Start the DVBViewer Downloader and download the support for Anysee devices.

I have ensured that nothing from anysee is Active when testing.

I have an E7 PS2, installed latest driver and inside DVBViewer program folder is the CIAPI.dll from 2011-04-19. Works like a charm with unicam evo 4.0.

As Christian said, you need to close the Anysee Tray-Tool in order for the DVBViewer to work. Otherwise both access the API, causing conflicts.

My installation does not have anything specifically named anysee tray tool ? it has the anysee CNO whinht gets the infomation to Windows media center. Both the anysee Viewer and windows mediacenter detect the coded channels with no difficulty.

Please can anyone help me any further

But look at the input above before answering so we dont repeat the whole again

I still cannot view coded channels in from anysee in DVBViewer but Microsoft media center has no problem in doing so.

Please help us to help you and replay to this main questions: have you ever found the CAM menu?

It's the penultimate item of the first menu of main DVBV window...

Or you can find it also in the OSD (look "where" and "if" it appear under "Settings / Options / OSD Menu")...

1 I cannot get back to the main window !! The program always starts in tv screen mode and I cannot find anyway to get out of this mode.

2) in the OSD menu I do find the CAM menu listed but onlyto change its location. And i cannot access any of the menues that it has as options

 ...I can understand your discomfort, but it seems you miss some basic steps:

1) double click left mouse button on main window to toggle windowed mode/full screen mode

OR

right mouse button / "View" /uncheck "Hide all"

2) press "esc" key to access OSD main menu, then use mouse weel or arrow button to navigate, left mouse button or return to get in the selected item...

And sorry, but (still) it's not clear if:

a) you can see/find the "CAM menu" but you can't access it because it's grayed out

OR

b ) you can't see/find the item "CAM menu" at all...

BTW, there is another easy way to access the "CAM menu":

right mouse button / "TV/Radio" / penultimate item

Thanks a lot, this has advanced the question a good bit. (pity that so much is missing at least from the English documentation)

to adress what you say let me first adress your number 2

there is no TV/radio option in the meny that comes with a right click, but there is one under prrogram settiings ( a submenu to the first one) But in that menu there is no mention of the CAM menu

1) yes i got the CAM menu as an option but it is grayed out and cannot be entered.

My DVDViewer installed as per system default in a Swedish version. Can there be problems here maybe I should reinstall and force it to the English version ?

A bit of fiddling helps. I ran the setup wizard and set language to English and now the TV/radio entry is at the top of the right click menu!!

but the CAM entry in this menu is dimmed and unaccesseble

Small steps forward!

Hmmm, so it was a translation gap; ...but you don't need to run setup wizard to change language: as you can see with english set, it's the very first option you can manage from "Settings / Options", and when applyed it change language on the fly...

If you are sure you have already installed ciapi.dll, the most probably reason for CAM menu is grayed out seems to be that there is some other software/service using ciapi.dll.

To dig on this I suggest to use Sysinternals's Process Explorer: with it you can search what process is using ciapi.dll (use "Find / Find Handle or DLL") and kill it/them; when ciapi.dll can be find anymore, start DVBViever and check if CAM menu turn active.

Anyhow, for a better help from other people more expert than me on this subject, better to post a support.zip file following these instructions:

How to post problems/bugs correctly: Always follow these instructions. Otherwise no one can - or wants - to help you!.

Thanks I did this and when DBViewer is running it is the sole owner of the file, when not running no program links to it.

so I will continue with a support request

support.zip

As seen above I cannot view coded channels on my installation using a anysee device. Microsoft Media Center finds them so there is no hardware error.

While exploring this I found an error in the Swedish translation that compounded the search (se above)

I cannot enter the CAM menu and I have confirmed that DBViewer is the sole user of ciapi.dll

so I do not know how to proceed

the full support file as extracted by support.exe is enclosed

Grateful for help.

Thanks for this. I was believing that DVBViewer was dead as nooone seemed able to answer my question!

Yes Visual c++ runtime is installed on the computer

Any further ideas ?

Guess we are at a dead end here. I have no clue why it does not work for you. Start the DVBViewer in Debug Mode from the Windows start menu, try to set some scrambled channels, close the DVBViewer and post the support.zip please.

Something is for sure wrong. I can't find the place where the DVBViewer hands the PMT to CIAPI.dll which is required for descrambling.

Your log:

Also no events are received from CIAPI.dll. The only idea I have is that you have the wrong VC runtimes installed. I don't know which are required. I assume 2005 or 2008. But I think there should at least be an entry in the log. Maybe the DVBViewer can't find the DLL? But would there be the other log entries in that case?

Check that the CIAPI.dll is for sure in the DVBViewer folder and has the date 19.04.2011.

I do not know if thie information is relevant but maybe

When I look at Another program (My Movies) using process Explorer i find that it has loadec c runtimes DLL (msvcr80.dll) but not so for DBVBViewer.

Does it not find the runtimes ?

Link to comment

I think that anysee requires the VC 2005 runtime. And I think that you need the x86 even under 64-Bit because what matters is which compiler the DLL has been compiled with. Maybe you should install both..

Link to comment

I installed the 2005 (the package only contains one the x86) but no change

I Think I will give up, I juat tried to installthe anysee on anpther computer with W10 but it does not seem possible to do so, and the whole aim of this was to be Abel to replace WMC when I update this macine to W10.

So maybe you can answer this question, is there another (newer) hardware that can replace anysee. It needs to have a CA module compatible with my supplier but that is for me to check if you can name some to look at.

Thanks for the help any way..
