Can't use positioner menu with classic SS2 HD

Hi,

I've been using DVBViewer for many many years with many different cards. Last of them was a WinTV HVR4000. I can use it to move my dish using USALS perfectly.

Now I've bought a Technisat SkyStar2 HD (PCI), but positioner menu is greyed out, so I asume DVBViewer doesn't send Diseq commands to it for some reason.

I attach my support zip so you can see some of my system specs. I've tested opening transedit.ini and adding vendor.0=2 (and also 13,14,15,17,18)... None of them let's me user positioner menu... Note that there's no vendor.0=whatever entry at first... I must add it. Is it a clue maybe?

I'm sure DVBViewer must be able to send diseq commands to a so commond and known card as a SS2, so it's my fault... but I don't know what am I doing wrong... Any clue?

I'm using traditional (no BDA) drivers, 4.6.0 version. I'm not sure if BDA drivers should also work (would be perfect for me, as I use third party soft to get EPG every night, and it's only compatible with BDA cards).

Thanks a lot.

The SkyStar S2 is able to send the DiSEqC commands, but not suitable for energizing a motor, particularly due to the lack of dynamic current limiting. After quite a lot of cards got destroyed by people who tried, TechniSat advised us to not support DiSEqC 1.2 anymore for this card.

Sorry, no better news...

Wow... bad news then. Also the HD flavour? Remember it's not the original SS2, but the new HD one (not Express one, though).

Another "cheap" DVB-s2 card suitable for moving a motor? My HVR4000 was a good card (I bought it twice) but it's an hybrid Analog+DVB-t+DVB-s2 card, but now I need a DVB-s2 only card, as Terrestrial analog signals have stopped here in Spain some years ago, and I've got other cards in my HTPC for DVB-t.

Thanks in advance for any help.

bye!
