cos Posted May 17, 2017 Share Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) Hi After updating to latest drivers from HDHomeRun by SiliconDust the DVBViewer hangs when started. I am running HDHomeRun EXPAND model HDHR3-4DC. My motherboard is Asus Z170M-PLUS and I am using the internal Intel HD Graphic 530 adapter, driver version 21.20.16.4664. When running with the latest driver, "hdhomerun_windows_20170512beta1", DVBViewer just hangs during startup and gets not responding. This was not a problem with older HDHomeRun driver "hdhomerun_windows_20170406beta1". I have reported the issue to HDHomeRun bug reporting service, but they say they do not test with 3rd part applications and that I need to address the issue to the DVBViewer developers. Griga Posted May 17, 2017 Share Posted May 17, 2017 Well, we don't test with HD Homerun... no developer or tester has such a device. So it will be hard to pinpoint what is causing the problem. Have you already tried to change the settings on Options -> Hardware, specifically "Stop stream while tuning", "Direct tuning" and "Use internal Network provider filter"? Maybe it works with one of the combinations. I think the best you can do is to stay with the old driver (and back it up somewhere so it can't get lost). Maybe in future we have to remove HDHomerun from the list of compatible devices Quote Link to comment
