DVBViewer Crashing

Hi,

I have a problem with DVBViewer crashing, have tried both versions available including clean installs of both windows 7 & 10. (32 & 64bit)

I'm a new user to DVBViewer and purchased a Pro account. Connecting to Astra 28.2E (Freesat) via an Octo Lnb, TBS 6909 & TBS 6904.

Have done a clean install of 6.0.4.0 yesterday and ran several recordings overnight to reproduce the errors and generate log files.

The recordings will start ok, sometimes running the full time set, but most times DVDViewer will crash (programme no longer responding) and the recordings will stop at the same time or the recorded output file will be 0kb.

I had 1 error this morning "CloseDevice      Access violation at address 0000024C. Write of address 0000024C" which a google search doesn't bring anything up, RAM & Hard drives are all error free (memtest86 & HDTune)

Hopefully someone can help

cheers.

Crashing issues generally points to problems with TV-card driver or hardware. Not RAM & HD.

ah ok, I only mentioned RAM & HDD as these are the mostly likely things to fail first.

Anyway, the drivers for both TV cards the latests drivers available on the TBS web site, I am using onboard graphics and again using the latest Inter driver available.

Have found 2 drivers had updates available (chipset & audio) so have updated these and will see how things go tonight.

Have also setup the 6909 card on another PC with the same problem.

Hi majstang,

I unticked "Has CI" on all tuners and DVBViewer has been working great since, have also purchased the MediaServer add on which is also working spot on streaming around the house.

thank you for the help.
