where can I find older TransEdit versions in the members section?

Version 4.3.4.2 and 4.3.3 have a bug that prevents recording the 16APSK mux on 19e 11816V 31430 which was FTA when i tried earlier. 

When trying to open the broken recordings in a media player, it fails and when dragging the TS files into TransEdit itself, it says "Tuning Error". Tested on two computers and with 3 different TBS cards. Its not a driver issue either since other tools can record this fine with these cards. This is the only time where i encountered this issue in 20 years, so please let me know where I can find older (working) TE versions. 

TransEdit 3.9.5 for example, definitely works with the mux but sadly i deleted it the other day, wrongfully assuming that the only two easy to find versions of TE in the members section would NOT have a critical bug...

Is there [ removed, violating forum rule §13] plugin for DVBViewer?

So, I want to watch encrypted channels.

It is displayed correctly in the analysis

I have taken the liberty to reformat the New Default skin to fit 16:9 widescreens more properly with correct aspect ratio.

All of the windows and dialogs has been reformated and also the images has been resized to be 16:9 in aspect.

I have also taken the liberty to change the Timeline window to be a little bit larger to fit more channels.

The resoultion is 1024x576, I first began to reformat to 1368x768 but I found that the text in most cases and also graphics became to small to be readable when wiewing from a large distance, so now the resolution is a little bit less than my fist attempt.

If you find any bugs in the layout please notify med using the forum and post in this thread.

Edit: I just sent the new skin to Bernd so please wait for the new skin to be uploaded, it will be called: "New default Widescreen"

The old "New Def skin HD" is not good and has several layout errors so ignore that one.

In fact TransEdit is already aware how many sections are in the basic tables, like PAT, SDT, NIT etc., because it anyway needs this data (visible in Table Stats). Cycle time & sections received combined for every section as an confirmation, that it was collected - together (I think) could be a base for an interesting diagnostics feature: an indication if table is complete and all sections have been collected.

How this could work?

Now icons for tables ("P" for PAT, "C" for CAT, "N" for NIT etc.) are always on a green background.

After this change at the start of analyze - icons would be blue and they would turn green when all sections would be collected.

A mockup below (SDT Other, BAT and EIT Other P/F are yet incomplete):

This could be evolved even further with some simple configuration, that if for example NIT Other was not collected for longer than 10s, this would mark the icon with red background.

This wouldn't be of course a full TR 101 211, because check would occure only once, but still a pretty nice feature, which could help to distinguish easier issues on broadcasters side from DVBViewer ones.

Sometimes I'm dealing with recorded TS files.

I think that it could be useful to show some percentage progress information or time that left to the end of the file (if calculation is possible) in TS Analyzer window.

This could help to check how much time left to the end of analyze or that the analyze is completed and no more data will come

When selecting multiple PID's with Ctrl or by Add to PID selection - it could be displayed:

- selected PID's count (it could be displayed above PID's list, where there's already all PID's count - to add selected PID's count in the brackets?)

- selected PID's joint bitrate (sum of bitrate of all selected PID's)

- percent of occupied bitrate of the whole TS bitrate by selected PID's

What do you think about such idea?

I've considered two ways to implement it:

1) Generate EIT p/f (well, p only in this case) and inject the resulting ts packet(s) from the plugin back into DVBViewer as PID 0x12

2) When I opened the project and looked at the SDK header, I saw MSG_SETEPG and thought if maybe that would be an easier way to do it.

Anyway, I'm open to either of these methods, but I don't see any documentation for (2), and I'm not actually sure if I could return additional packets for implementing (1) from a plugin ( I know i can do start/stop filter for PIDs and I'm doing that) but I don't see a way to inject stuff.

So uh,,, my question is, if I was to do (2), what's the details of the structure I need to send with this message and

if I was to do (1), how can I inject arbitrary TS packets back to DVBViewer (they would be strictly generated inside my plugin, the feed does NOT have this PID at all).

On a DVB-T music tv channel, in all smart TVs I have I get a small QR code picture for 10 seconds and then it dissapears. 

But DVBViewer hbbtv app detects it, but it doesn't show picture by pressing F5, like all other hbbtv apps.

A clean install transedit on windows 10 did not offer better result !

I don't know what the missing part and why is slower on windows 10 with faster cpu compared to win7 lower cpu and very old i still better speed and result blind scan.

For now, i must still on my windows 7 32bit until is die but worry lost it before stable release for win10 if not obtain a least same or better result.

Hope the 2 supports files will help anyone who can find where the bug or/and config issues or/and codecs missing ?

TransEdit is unable to detect the second section of SDT table in some DVB-T stream.

I'm attaching a sample (full TS).

This is resulting in missing last 3 services names.

Sections length seems to be OK, also CRC32 is fine. Maybe a bit untypical is that second section is starting in the middle of the packet, but I think that this shouldn't be an issue (?)

Why, on some USB DVB-T receivers, Null PID doesn't appear when Analyzing ?

I could not find a plugin for creative audigy rm-1500 remote (audigy 2 platinum remote), so I did code one for myself yesterday. A quick hack but it works for me.

Note: as the plugin uses windows hooks some antivirus programs might warn you.

Scanning frequencies on 19.2E and 28.2E works fine, there's only a problem with 23.5E .

I have 3 LNBs connected to a Spaun multiswitch:

• 19.2E : DiSEqC Position 1 (A/A)
• 28.2E : DiSEqC Position 2 (B/A)
• 23.5E: DiSEqC Position 4 (B/B)

On my previous PC, scanning on 23.5E was working fine, with no settings changed (I copied the configuration files (same DVBViewer/Media Server version) to the new computer).

The channels that were scanned on 23.5E on the previous PC, are still working fine => I guess that the LNB is not faulty.

My TV cards are a Digital Devices Duoflex S2 v4 card + an Octopus CI card with the latest driver (version 3.1.1.248 64bit) on a Windows 10 64bit PC.

I'm running Media Server 3.0.0 with DVBViewer 7.0.0.

I'm attaching the support.zip file and a transponder zip file containing the ini files for the three satellites.

I already removed and added again the devices in the hardware settings of Transedit, but this did not solve the issue. I also checked the DiSEqC settings for the 23.5E satellite in Transedit and they are correctly set to Pos B/Opt B.

Grateful for any hints in the right direction ?

Are there any plans or chances to support the BACK (VK_BACK) button also known as RETURN in HbbTV applications?

It's not mentioned in the manual.

By support I means some kind of keyboard mapping because I've haven't had the time to check a remote yet.

1. Sometimes it could be useful to be able to define somehow descriptor from "User defined" group

Let's say that there is 0x95 descriptor, which is unknown for TransEdit and not defined by DVB, but I know it's structure and it would be great to see it in TS Analyzer window tree in readable form, instead of HEX preview.

My idea is to give ability to define maybe some XML structure in special file (eg AdditionalDescriptors.xml), which TransEdit would be able to read and use to parse additional descriptors.

Probably it would need to define some structure, like:

- descriptor HEX value (0x95)

- descriptor name

- for each field: field length in bits, name, type (like text, hex, number, some other?), eventually list of possible values with their meaning

Sample structure could look like this:

- Command = 0x0C - Up

- Message = w - GET

To get this as simple as possible I would assume that there should be only four checks:

- on load of AdditionalDescriptors.xml - is it a correct XML file

- check if all fields sum up to defined DescriptorLength

- if value length is enough to store defined type (eg. text >= 16 bits)

- compare DescriptorLength defined in file with DescriptorLength found in stream (discard parsing of Length not equal)

Corectness of other data would rely on user with warning that incorrent definition would be harmful on app stability.

All "known" descriptors could be replacable aswell.

Save as XML would keep these additional definitions.

2. I found some situations where it could be useful to let TransEdit parse other, non-standard PID as some table. Eg. try to parse some PID as SDT.

On any failure there could be just an error message that an attempt failed and table seems to be not type as we tried to parse.

On success additional tree branch could be added with parsed content.

Option could be under right click on any PID with "?" stream type or Private Section" stream type, maybe on some else Data PID's, from right part of TS Analyzer window.

3. Are there maybe some chances to add support for extract contents of DSM-CC data/object carousels?

I receive the dvb signal through an avermedia decoder (AVerTV DVB-T Super 007), and I would like to be able to control DVBViewer with the avermedia remote control. I installed the avermedia plugin, but it doesn´t work (the plugin is active in "options" - input).

I tryed with the "learn" utility in "options", but when I press the "learn" button, the program ask me to change the action of a key... but it asks once, and again, and again... and the screen is fulled with this dialog window. I have to stop running DVBViewer to become to normallity again.

If I uncheck the avermedia plugin, the learn options works perfectly.

¿What can I do to use properly the avermedia remote control?

I have problem with TransEdit v.4.2.1.1 and ATSC 8VSB WinTV-HVR 950Q tuner.

I don't see "Bandwidth" option anymore and I have error "Invalid or incomplete input".

For example, in TransEdit v3.9.8.0 I can choose "bandwidth" and no problem to add channel.

Please check attached screenshots for both versions.

I'm using Windows 10 x64.

Please suggest.

i use DVB tuner cards and TSstream  filesin DMS but i can't load more than 120 channels in KODI-addon with these locals streams

pvr manager don't load if i've got more than 120 !!

DMS has no limitations streams

is the problem coming from epg too heavy ? or not ?
