I have been using your software for quite some time, but I am experiencing a problem with one encrypted channel.

First, I will provide its parameters:

Redlight HD
11.662 V 27500 2/3 DVB-S2/8PSK
The channel is located on Hotbird 13.

I am using a TBS 6910Se card.
I also have a Viaccess module inserted together with the access card.

I would like to point out that all the other channels are working and behaving as expected.

When I select this channel, the program freezes immediately — without displaying any error message.

The same problem occurs when the module is removed or not inserted.
It does not matter whether the module and card have authorization to receive the channel or not.

After selecting the channel, the program closes without displaying any message.

I am attaching the logs from this situation.
They were generated with the module inserted.

In terms of the actual URL layout, both providers have a similar URL, i have tried adding .ts to end of the urls and also tried removing the port number but to no avail, yet it continues to play fine after pasting into the open url option.

i should add that i didn't have this problem on my last system and im using the same channel list 

• Windows 10.
• MediaServer 3.3.1.0.
• Local Digital Devices Max S8 tuner to record DVB-S streams.
• Several TS Stream Device recording Internet radio.
• At any given time, about 40 timers programmed, simultaneously recording ~10 channels: DVB-S and Internet.

The interface is sluggish, clicking on any tab (Timeline, Timers, Status, Configuration) takes >= 10 seconds to load. Sometimes freezes are much longer. Recordings seem to be unaffected, we see they come in time. The CPU stays at ~2.5% and memory usage at 180 MB. I don't see memory increase.

The issue seems to be similar to my previous issue: https://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/74183-mediaserver-web-interface-extremely-sluggish/  but I tried deleting SvcDatabase.db3 and no change. Also, no elevated CPU and memory usage.

"After Recording" is set to SLEEP

After finishing recording with SLEEP option wake up is not possible, I must restart my computer. Such phenomena does not exit with version 7.3.1.0

IPTV M3u list channel URL list works fine when tested with vcl player 

Everything works fine, except when two to three clients are connected to the server I experience hiccup, channel switch is slow or time delay before the server pass the stream to the client. I don't have any log to prove this behaviors is based on my visual observation.

Anything setting that I tinkering on the server to improve this issue

First of all, DVBViewer Beta locks the recording that repeats so i cant change duration or name.

Second, the repeated recording does not stop at the time specified, but continues to the time 00.00

I have tried everything and done a complete reinstall and it still does it.

When you do a scan on DVB-T the channels show up as "Channel name (Internet)"

But DVBViewer can not open them, I assume they are just stubs that point to an m3u8.

Is there something I can do to get these channels working?

• Upgrade PC to new HW and WIN11 ver. 22H2
• Installed DVBViewer 7.2.2.0
  • Issue: The setup wizard did not detect any hardware.

Starting DVBViewer in normal mode and

• Tested that older recordings can still be played - OK.
• Retry: Settings->Hardware->Detect - ERROR nothing detected

Note that the "HD Homerun Viewer" and "VLC" both can open and tune the HD Homerun DVB-C tuner.

The same tuner was used earlier with DVBViewer/Media Server.

Exact name of the TV-card and used driver version

• HD Homerun EXPAND Model: HDHR3-4DC, Firmware: 20220822
• WIN11 Driver ??? - but works with other applications

Graphics card and used driver version

• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti - this card is not upgraded and worked with my earlier  DVBViewer/Media Server installation

The HD Homerun is a networked tuner, but this worked earlier. I also see the BDA driver mentioned but I have nothing in device manager "Sound, video and game controllers".

I've recently started using DVBViewer with streams coming from a TVHeadend server, and I’ve encountered a strange issue with the EPG display.

Specifically, the EPG shown in DVBViewer (both in the general guide and in the per-channel view) seems to be mixed up. It displays a combination of EPG data from the currently tuned channel and previously viewed channels.
It also shows programs with the same time, which obviously can't be correct!

To clarify, the EPG data from the TVHeadend stream itself appears to be correct. I verified this by downloading the stream (both the single channel and the whole mux) directly via a browser and stopping it at the right moment, so the issue seems to lie in how DVBViewer handles or caches EPG data from these streams.

The correct EPG for the channel is:

DVBViewer is setup to record all the TS extra info.
Note that "THE BIG BANG THEORY - S7 Ep15 La manipolazione della locomotiva", which is the timer name (chosen by DVBViewer) is not related to this channel, but from a previously tuned one.

This happens both with DVBViewer 7.1.0.0 and 7.3.1.0 (which is currently installed on my system, even if support.zip in setup.xml says it's 7.1.0.0).

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I don't know if this is a bug or feature!

I just noticed (I don't know how long it's been like this.) that I can't switch between the main show and the secondary show sound while the picture is active. I could do this before with the F5 key (OSD Red), but now it is inactive!
This is what happens: The main show is muted but the secondary sound does not appear!

I've recently replaced my PC and therefore needed to reinstall DVBViewer.

I entered my key file, username and password - and ever got the message "license installation successful".

When I launch DVBViewer, I get a "user data error 688".

If I go back to Keytool, it seems okay (license installed). I tried to uninstall and reinstall license - no change.

I restarted computer - no change.

I reinstalled DVBViewer - no change, still getting the "user data error 688" despite that I put all the license information and get a success message.

Please assist.

Is there also a debug mode for TransEdit?

When I want to analyze some muxes from Tvheadend server some of them are failing with "Tuning Error" while others do open without problems.

I tried the amount of pids and it's not limited to 32. I tried 40.

How can this be fixed?

I have been loving DVBViewer since I purchased it. Sadly, I have recently encountered a problem.

DVBViewer works perfectly fine if I have my TV tuner (Hauppauge WinTV) plugged into the USB port. However, if the tuner is unplugged and I try to open DVBViewer, as soon as it has finished loading and the main window appears, I see the text "No Playback" in the bottom left corner and the main screen is black, and after a few seconds, the program closes entirely. It appears this problem occurs no matter whether I have set the channel to an OTA channel or an internet stream beforehand.

I could forgive this problem due to the USB extender that I have, but today - out of nowhere - I have found out that if the tuner is plugged into the USB extender, I now have the same problem, even when the tuner shows that it is turned on (it used to work just fine before). It'll only work now if the tuner is plugged directly into the USB port. Sadly, I don't have enough ports on the computer, so I can't leave the bulky tuner in along with the other devices I need to use without a USB extender.

All of this was on version 7.3.0, I tried to upgrade to 7.3.1 just now but it did not fix the problem.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

It's been a while since I was last active on these forums...didn't need to as DVBViewer was always rock solid!

However, I have found an interesting and annoying problem with some IPTV Streams.

For the Irish TV channels RTE, RTE they both have AAC audio streams and these work with no issues.  However the Virgin Media 1 - 4 channels, which also have AAC audio do not.  Interestingly the AAC Audio image in the DVBViewer footer only becomes visable when starting with an RTE channel and then switching to a Virgin channel. 

All of the audio and video channels work in VLC Player.

I have the AAC Wrapper and LAV codecs installed.  I have also tried post-processing with AC3Filter, FFDshow etc...same issues.  No audio on Virign channels in DVBViewer, but all work in VLC Player.

If the station logos are manually changed  and saved in DVBViewer 7.3.0.0 using the Options-Menue, DVBViewer will show immedeatly the changed Logos. But on the next start of DVBViewer 7.3.0.0 all changes that were made are gone and automatically replaced by it's previous Version of DVBViewer. So an Update of Station Name or Logo is not possible in DVBViewer 7.3.0.0.

OS is Windows 10 32bit 

First manifestation of problems: after changes on the 28.5E satellites I can no longer receive some British channels.

Some time later there were changes on the 19.5E and 23.5E satellites and I can hardly watch any TVV (TV-Vlaanderen package) channel.

When I scan the aforementioned satellites with Transedit 3.9.6.0, I can no longer find many channels but a remarkable number of "Service xxx" channels. Sometimes there is one that seems to work.

I can switch to some channels but the picture and sound stop after 1 or 2 seconds; that is why I think that something has changed in the CODECS that are used. I use the LAV 0.79.2 filters.

I have a Technisat Skystar USB 2 HD CI and it doesn’t  work  under Windows 10 64bit system on i7-8700K and Z370 platform.

Each time I try to scan channels  results immediately with a blue screen. Driver is the last one available.  I have tried almost everything.

Is there any way to resolve this problem.

Does any one have a similar platform working fine.

I have following setup:

• Windows 10,
• MediaServer 3.3.0.0 service,
• *minisatip* service on the other computer, with 2x Digital Devices MAX M4 configured to record DVB-C channels. Minisatip works with these tuners and also Digital Devices Octopus CI slots. MediaServer has Minisatip instance connected as RTSP Server (8 instances).
• local Digital Devices Max S8 tuner to record DVB-S streams.
• At any given time, about 40 timers programmed, simultaneously recording ~10 channels.

The problem is that the web interface loads extremely slowly, about 30 seconds to refresh the interface. It is not always though, there seems to be a cycle between slow and fast response:

• I enter http://192.168.9.11:8089/ it hangs on the GET for about 30 seconds then loads the interface. During the hang, the CPU stays at about 24%, memory usage usually increases.
• After the interface loads, everything is snappy once again, CPU usage drops to <1%.
• Then, when I click something on the interface, the CPU usage goes up again and everything hangs for about ~30 seconds.

I also observed that just after MediaServer startup, the memory usage was about 100 MB. When I go to web interface for the first time, I had to wait almost a minute, memory increased 100 -> 450 MB.

Overall, there seems to be a pattern that then the web interface is accessed, the memory usage increases and interface hangs for about 30 s.

There has an eancoding problem / garbage characters in channel EPG in DVBViewer Media Server webpage. The name, description are fine but the time does not show correctly.

I have a problem with some Channels of these list, every seconds they hang a pair of seconds,then It continue a few seconds, then hangs a few seconds in a eternal bucle.

For example the 33tv.(valencia) its one of these.

I have test change h.264 codecs and nothing,also i don't view cpu researches 100% from far when It hangs.

Please ¿anyone can test It with another computer?. Thank you.

I conducted two tests. The first involved live reproduction of the same streams in three different video players (DVBViewer, FFplay, and an HLS test website). Only DVBViewer exhibited the described behavior.

The second test focused on recording. I simultaneously recorded with DVBViewer and FFmpeg (I muxed the TS into MP4 to overcome the errors in DVBViewer). Playing the FFmpeg recording shows the stop and recovery of the stream, but DVBViewer plays a bit of an earlier section (then joins, but I didn't record the screen as long...).

The consecuente its, that apart of stay here eating  ram. Hbbtv don't work more if you reload DVBViewer until you  close manually the process with crtl+alt+supr.

scheduled recordings are not possible, log shows that DVBViewer fails to set task scheduler. Task scheduler works ok if tasks are set manually, timer wake up etc. DVBViewer is 7.2.4.0 and windows 10.

Account is password protected and is set also in DVBViewer settings. I've searched www and dvb forum but no luck.

Error message is as follows: (DVBViewer log)

Windows is W7 pro sp1

Recently I had to change motherboard, old one was out.

New one is UEFI, under CSM mode all is worling fine.

I have to work under UEFI because I'm multibooting multi OSs.

DVBViewer under UEFI is as follow:

- Channels from Avermedia: no crask.

- Channels from Technotrend: after a laps of moment (1 to 10 seconds) : crash

Option to make it wok for Sat: uncheck Module common Interface so only FTA are available under UEFI.

My motherboard : Gigabyte H310M sp2 2.0 + CPU/GPU : i3-9100

How to debug / correct this?

When you move the window of DVBViewer the title bar is blinking.

I don't know if it's from 7.2.4.0 but I didn't noticed this issue before.

I'm using the native Windows skin and DVBViewer 7.2.4.0

It's a minor issue but it would be nice to have a fix

• Digital Devices MAX M4 card configured to record DVB-C channels,
• four H.254 streams from Internet configured as TS Streams to record.

This setup works in principle, but after couple of hours of recording various programs, it stops recording. The bitrate in Status page shows 0.000 MB/s for all devices: Digital Devices DVB-C Tunner * and TS Stream Device *.  The svcdebug.log starts growing very fast, the following text is put over and over, till the file reaches its 4 MB limit:

The log tells about TS Streams, but the cease of recording affects all channels, including DVB-C. If the MediaServer is left in this state, it eventually crashes because it runs out of RAM, I've seen it happen at about 1.2 GB of allocated memory in Windows Task manager.

MediaServer versions checked, 3.1.2.1, 3.2.4.0.

I include support file, but the logs might not contain the relevant moments since the log grows so fast.

But occasionally(occurs in an unpredictable manner) the server creates 100+ corrupt(seemingly) video files during a recording, each of which is 68 kB with the exception of the first one being playable for 7-8 minutes. As you can see I have not attached a dump file since I don't know when the issue will happen in advance. I am usually away from my computer to detect the bug right away, so I am worried this might happen during a critical schedule. I need to rely on the Media Server to record programs when I am away or forget to start the recording manually. How can I make sure, it will always work without a surprise?

To note, I use an external HDD as the record destination connected via a USB3.0 port and I never remove it from the PC. It always have more than enough space.

I have restarted DVBViewer Media Server and it did not resolve the issue.

Note: This only happens in DVBViewer Pro. Other clients(TBSViewer) shows the video without an issue for the same channels in the same time period.

I deleted all of theme except one that gave me a "file in use by system error".

A decide to wipe the drive and did a clean install of windows 11 and after installing DVBViewer Pro 7.2.3 a file with the name lw_890842865.ts reappeared in my C drive.

This morinig the file was around 300mb and now is 9.5gb. This file is not playable in DVBViewer or VLC.

Does anybody know what it is and how do I prevent it from beeing created?
