cockers
Hi there, Does anyone know if this is compatable with DVBViewer? And if it is, which driver should I use, as there are two versions available from Twinhan support - 2.607 or 2.431 Many thanks, Andy. Quote Link to comment
jospo
Any post on Twinhan Alpha DVB-T USB compatibility? I also want to know if USB 2.0 is able to transfer the whole multiplex data to achieve multichannel recording. Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
Griga
I also want to know if USB 2.0 is able to transfer the whole multiplex data to achieve multichannel recording. Yes, no problem. Quote Link to comment
jospo
I tried it and it seems to work properly, thanks! Now some minor problems (all of them are present in PRO and also GE edition): 1) Not working remote control - it works with original application but not with TwinhanUSB plugin (even plugin is enabled in Options, when try to learn some buttons, nothing happens) 2) When I run original application and exit it and run DVBViewer, no video or sound is available in DVBViewer. Only PC restarts helps. When I'm running TV only in DVBViewer it is always OK. 3) Signal strength: my signal was 99-100% with Airstar USB, but with the same antenna with Twinhan Alpha USB it shows only 65-66% - still video stream is perfect without any corruption or hanging. Maybe some measure resolution problem? Tested with TwinhanDTV 2.608a and 2.606 drivers and latest DVBViewers (PRO 3.2.6 and GE 1.8.4). Thanks, Petr Quote Link to comment
boborg
A Twinhan Magic Box DVB-T USB (VP7041) isn't recognized by DVBViewer for me anyway. The TwinhanTest.exe you can get here on the board does recognize it to a degree anyway. Log Trying to create Twinhan source instance... succeeded Trying to query Twinhan source for IDVBSource4 interface... succeeded Querying Twinhan source for number of devices... result: 1 Maybe Christian will add support for it. It does run with Mytheater. Edited February 9, 2006 by boborg Quote Link to comment
view-int
yes, i think so too - the VP 7041-b "magic box" and this must be the same for the 7041 "usbter" are not recognized . they work with wdm drivers and there is no BDA-driver for this devices, for the magic box pro there is one. there are different devices with the dibcom reference design for usb 2.0 too and the driver very similar . I read that there is a driver for linux that works with all those different "dibcom" devices . Adapting this for the viewer and the GE would offer an alternative for several devices . The orignal twinhan soft seems to work very bad with their usb-boxes . Quote Link to comment

But only with the next selects drivers: Directx video codec: CYBERLINK MPEG2 VIDEO Directx audio codec: CYBERLINK MPEG2 AUDIO Video output filter: ffdshow raw video filter Video output: (Second option, i dont remember the name, but NOT wmv7 and wmv9) With this set, the image and compression is acceptable. Except when you change channel, then de program BLOCK. But if you change any of this configuration, the program CRASH. --- ¿Other configuration you can advice to me?... (Im using this DVB-T CARD with Windows XP Service Pack 2, with the Microsoft KB896626 updated error from DIGITAL CARDS). Thanxs. Quote Link to comment
view-int
which twinhan usb-box do you mean ? here is the problem mostly with the VP 7041 and VP 7041-B magicbox there are different devices so you have to report about the exact model, isnt it ? I re-installed the newest version of the DVBViewer pro over an existing 2.431 twinhan usb-soft with WDM driver - but the viewer didnt found the box . so, how is your box recognized and what its the device-name to choose in the options dialogue ? boborg
After I installed the latest 4.4.0 Technisat driver and installed a Cablestar card along with my skystar 2 DVBViewer GE recognized the Twinhan Magic Box DVB-T USB (VP7041) as Vision DTV () as a satellite card. Tried to change to Terrestrial but it does not find any channels. I added the channels manually and signal meter does show signal when I tune to a terrestrial channel I added manually. No picture or sound is played back though. I'm sure the manual values I added are right and also tried USB Low bandwidth option with no luck. Just thought I would add it here. DVBViewer Pro does not detect it. Quote Link to comment
Flying V
I have VP-7041(E). Any experiences if this model functions with DVBViewer? Is there any testing possibility before purchasing the software? Quote Link to comment
hdv
Hallo, please use this tool Transedit_MMC if you can make a channelscan and it would be find channels can you use the DVBViewer Pro you must select your card in settings and you can't see a preview of the channels it's a restriction of Transedit_MMC Quote Link to comment
rriem
I have the 7045 and installed only the BDA-Drivers. It works. If you want to use the Twinhan remote control, you have to install the whole software. The remote control needs Twinhans WinManger. Quote Link to comment
Flying V
Hi, you must select your card in settings How do I select it? At least device wasn't recognized automatically. Unfortunately it seems that Twinhan has no BDA drivers for VP-7041. Or are there some other BDA drivers that could work? Quote Link to comment
