.TS splitting

First i would like to say that DVBViwer is a really great app, the one i got with my Twinhan dvb card is missing alot of the functions found in DVBViewer and .ts recordings is one of them.

 

The recoding to .ts files works as it should, but if you splitt the file at a given size you will have to go trough the hassle to join them or use a frameserver app. So my request is that it would be great if there where an option to make sure that the first frame in the splitted file was an i-frame, so we can encode/edit the splitted files without any extra steps.

Use the special tools that are available for mpeg processing. Parsing mpeg down to the GOP is imho beyond the scope of a TV_application.
