hackbart
Hi, i started creating a new skin - since i'm not an artist i asked the official xbmc skin author for permission to use his graphics. I also promised to release the skin package under gpl (which means downloadable also for non pro version customers), so i got the okay from chokemaniac Right now it is almost finished, but it needs some additional work. hackbart
I've uploaded the Skin, but i'm sure it needs a bit more fine tuning. Especially some text and images are not arranged that perfect and since i tried to adapt almost the look and feel of the XBMC only with some images in my hand a few pages do probably not look like they should The Skin is released under LGPL and can be downloaded here: > Download < Christian Quote Link to comment
Blattie
Vielen Dank Mach weiter soo.... Mfg Blattie Quote Link to comment
hackbart
The visualisation plugin is GForce and you can find more of those visuals here: http://support.xmplay.com/ There is also a small bug inside one of those XML's, so i attached the correct one Christian myMiniEPG.zip Quote Link to comment
hdv
Edited February 20, 2006 by hdv Quote Link to comment

admi-ral
is is already possible to enable the embedded sounds in the skin? Quote Link to comment
hackbart
You got me, yes The sound.xml is responsible for it and interacts with keyboard/remote presses. The next beta will be able to play noises and whistles while selecting menus. Christian Quote Link to comment
Topogigi
You should try to avoid putting german words in the skins...I know they are easy to translate, but if the skin is compiled completely in English, it should be possible to translate it with the usual method (i.e language file). In a mixed environment with some words in English and some in German, automated translation will become a problem... Quote Link to comment

hackbart
indeed, "germlish" is not the way to start with a skin Feel free to correct the entries - i suppose those are partially parts from the frosch skin, which i used as base for the xbox skin. Bigtaifun
Viele Grüße, Matthias Edited February 22, 2006 by Bigtaifun Quote Link to comment

hackbart
so, i'm (finally) happy to anounce that i finished the skin. This is a sisyphus work and especially the thumbnail alignment, but now it looks "almost" exactly like the real xbmc. Since neither the TV Timeline, nor the Mini EPG is existing in the original one i was forced to mimic the rest. I'm sure there are much more talented skinners and graphic artists out there, so come on and improove it Christian PS: First i thought the grey design would bother in the usability, but it is fantastic Quote Link to comment
hdv
Was dann wie folgt aussieht (links). Edited July 11, 2006 by hdv Quote Link to comment

gibman
I just finished porting the Xbox 4:3 skin to 16:9 1280x720p skin for all your projector/HDTV people out there. Only thing is ... I have no where to upload this file. Seems like I've used up "all" my free disk space on this forum. The RAR file is 4 mb - some of the gfx are altered/resized. So I need to keep the rar archive complete. Any ideas ? I really want to share this. Regards Elo Edited March 27, 2006 by gibman Quote Link to comment
