My Sister has on her PC a Technisat Skystar 2 PCI Card...

I heared that it is possible to receive HDTV with that card so i tryied to receive it..

With the newest Version of DVBViewer TE & ProgDVB i can receive Astra HD, Canal + HD (the free presentation channel) but i can#t get Pro7HD / Sat.1HD... it doesn#t appear in my channel list... not in ProgDVB & not in DVBViewer te (after manual or automatic scan)

What is wrong? Are there differences between Astra HD and Pro7HD?

Thanks for your answeres!

Pro7HD use DVB-s2 whilst Astra HD use DVB-s. Your card cannot receive DVB-s2.

Hello !

Nevertheless what you have heard WAS right.

Pro 7 tested on Astra 19° East an HDTV Channel with DVB-S1 and MPEG Encoding.

Which worked fine and could be received with a Skystar 2.

Today only Test / Promo Channels are broadcasting this way.

The rest is on other Satellites and as described in H264 an DVB-S 2 .
