gibman
Hi! i just tinkered a bit with the "C more HD" channel. It broadcasts in mpeg2 @ 1080i @ 18-20 mbps bitrate. On my old barton 2500 running at 2100 mhz I can watch this channel fine, as long as I am in overlay mode. when I use vmr9 the cpu rises to 100% and I get stutters galore. Both overlay and vmr9 is running in DXVA mode. I use the purevideo nvidia codec. Its property page tells me that DXVA is enabled. When using overlay I am at about 30-40% in CPU usage. My GPU is ati 9500. Is 1080-mpeg2-vmr9 really that tough on the cpu ? Or is it b/c of the GPU ? Regards gibman Quote Link to comment
Dr. Cain
Hmm perhaps the ATI 9500 doesn't support all the VMR9 features. I would recommend overlay mode for that card. Quote Link to comment

Many video cards, even more recent, struggle when using VMR9...does DVBViewer Pro use Renderless Exclusive for VMR9? Quote Link to comment
