ramonchin
What's the best option for my Bravia 46X2000 ? 0-255 levels (best for PC monitor) 16-235 levels (best for tv output) My HTPC is connected to this LCD throught a DVI-HDMI cable Should i consider my TV like a PC monitor and give it full 0-255 levels? Is best option for video 16-235? Overlay mode is 0-255.... Isn't it? Thanks friends Quote Link to comment
arfster
Should i consider my TV like a PC monitor and give it full 0-255 levels? TV levels are the norm and what the source is at, so changing to 0-255 means doing an unnecessary conversion. Also, if you calibrate your TV to that, your dvd/sky/freeview/whatever will all be way too washed out/bright. Quote Link to comment

Can LCD TV be considered like a PC monitor? Thanks Quote Link to comment
granowia
Hi, try this programm: http://www.construnet.hu/nokia/Monitors/TE...nitor_test.html When gray bars below 7% are just black on your TV, you must use the full color space. I had the problem on my new flat panel, which is connected by DVI->HDMI. My flat panel knows only the small color space, where my graphic card always uses full color space. So dark video scenes where black. The only way for me to resolve it was powerstrip. Regards Quote Link to comment
