Can DVBViewer power Diseq 1.2 Motor?

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here so please dont shoot it down in too many flames! I have searched the forums for DiSEqC and only found a small number of posts not covering this question.

I live in Central Southern England and have a 80cm motorised dish. I have just bought a SkyStar 2 PCI DVB card and it's set up on Astra 19.2E with 73% signal strength. I downloaded the demo version of DVBViewer and it played the preset standard channels fine but seemed to lock up on the England channels - Sky News etc.

I have dug deep and bought the full version and am just about to head home and install it. What I would like to do is use the setup to move the motor between satellites (like the trusty old Humax set top box used to).

Will DVBViewer power the DiSEqC 1.2 H-H motor?

If not Is there a PC programme that will control the motor? Will it say "Ok you are on Astra 19.2 in which case I know where all the other satellites are?!"

Any help would be greatfully received

nope, the problem is not the DVBViewer itself. Unluckily the skystar2 does not have enough power to control the motor dish.

PS: DiSEqC 1.0 is working fine
