boborg
Hi I just wanted to know how good quality one should expect compared to a stand alone digital receiver? Especially with sports channels the picture sent to my TV via the tv out seems slightly off. Sort of like the framerate is not 100% right. Tried experimenting with different filters but not much difference. Any way to improve it? Quote Link to comment
Klausing
a digital standalone reciver have the same qualitiy like the SS2. The only Problem is de-interlacing. For me the best filter for deinterlaced video is NVIDIA. If there is an other problem, maybe your grafikcard have this problem. Have a look in the driver options of your card. boborg
OK as I have a Geforce 2 I'll give Nvidia filter a try. Quote Link to comment
Guest DAvenger
I prefer to use standalone receiver even when I have tvout. All the hassle with setting up the PC compared to once click of the remote .... ooh The quality seems to be same. Quote Link to comment

Job48
From my point of view deinterlacing is intended for computer monitors. TV-Sets are designed to receive interlaced material, so why perform deinterlacing with TV-out? Have you ever tried to switch that off, if the filter does permit you to do so? Quote Link to comment
