satboy
Hi everybody. Wonderful forum. I'm new here, registered today (sorry for my English). I've read many posts but i'm not able to pair channels with ImportXMLTV. Someone, please, can help me? What I do wrong? This is what I do: - I grab (using another PC) an XML file using Skyepggrabber (with the parameter --addstoptime I've read in thid forum) so I have a 14 Meg 7 days epg Sky Italy. - I copy it to my HTPC in the folder Program files\DVBViewer\ImportXMLTV\ - I run from that folder ImportXMLTV.exe (without open DVBViewer) At this point the button Pair Channels is grayed and become active when I add to process the tvguide.xml I've copied before. - So I click Pair Channels. The program open my DVBViewer; I minimize it and a grey advice tell me that is impossible to process the file. I go crazy. On my HTPC I have an English version Win XP Pro SP2 (very clean installation dedicated to my TV). Many thanks. Quote Link to comment
Delphi
I need some more information: Hit the "Copy" button to copy the log-information to say notepad. Upload this file here. Maybe a snippet of your tvguide.xml could be usefull as well. Quote Link to comment

I try to send Log.txt and 3 pdf images of the xml file (at the beginning, in the middle and at the end oof xml file). (MS Word don't opened it, so I've seen it with Wordpad and made 3 short images with Acrobat). I hope is ok to understand. Log.txt tvguide.pdf tvguide2.pdf tvguide3.pdf Quote Link to comment
Delphi
The log.txt suggests that InportXMLTV cannot find the file tvguide.xml FULL Path is required: Hit the "..." button and browse to it. Your snippets from tvguide.xml looks OK. tvguide.xml can be opened in Notepad Quote Link to comment

Your snippets from tvguide.xml looks OK. tvguide.xml can be opened in Notepad Delphi, it's incredible !! I indicated the full path, but did not work. So, desperate, I asked to myself why MS Word don't opened the .xml file (as I told in previous reply). Reading the error messages of MS Word, with an editor I deleted in second line a link to a file type with estension .tdt (or so) and in line 199000 (or so), in a descriction, a word like this "vip”". Now it works. Don't know why but works perfect. And .......I can use wanderful Italian 7 days EPG. Thank You very Much. Quote Link to comment
Delphi
In general it is not a good idea to open the xml files, since this can mess up the encoding! Try not to open the file at all, the next time you download. By the way: Somehow I got a wrong version uploaded, so check the About box to see if you have the latest version: 0.1.4.1 Quote Link to comment
