snurrbo
I've installed a brand new FireDTV-T card in my HTPC with 64-bit swedish Vista with all the latest patches including tv-pack from MS. MCE scan channels with FireDTV and everything looks fine in MCE. FireDTV-Viewer and DVBViewer can't scan channels at all with FireDTV. I get this errormessage with both the programs. I've unplugged and reinstalled the FireDTV. I've reinstalled DVBViewer and the FireDTV Viewer but no difference. What is wrong? Quote Link to comment
Tjod
DVBViewer needs the BDA Driver not the MCE Driver. Quote Link to comment
snurrbo
DVBViewer needs the BDA Driver not the MCE Driver. I have tested with both drivers. It makes no difference. Have you seen that errormessage before? Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Yes there are two other Vista 64 Bit user with the seam problem. But nobody has a idea what the reason of this problem is. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...mp;#entry207573 http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...c=28717&hl= The only connection is this error message at the channels scan and Vista 64 Bit. And no channels scan problems in other applications (not DVBViewer based). But there are many Vista 64 Bit user witch have no problem with the channels scan in DVBViewer. What type is you FireDTV DVB-S, DVB-T or DVB-C? Quote Link to comment
Lars_MQ
Please do: Start -> programs -> dvviewer program group -> support -> DVBViewer (debugmode). Try to scan until the error occurs and then please post your support.zip. Maybe there is something to see in the logs... Quote Link to comment

snurrbo
Same error when running in debugmode and no support.zip created. Quote Link to comment
Tjod
In debugmode only a special log file is written. You have to create the support.zip with the SupportTool. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=2210 Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Do you have the "Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008" (Fiji) installed? Quote Link to comment
SpooZ
I have tested with both drivers. It makes no difference. Have you seen that errormessage before? I'm running FireDTV-T on Vista x64 without any problem at all. Have you tried to upgrade the firmware of the fireDTV-T . I have latest 1.4.0 Fire DVT Firmware Also make sure you are running the latest drivers. Integrated Driver Setup 5.0 N BETA Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Hopefully in the current BETA 3.9.4.70 the problem is fixed. Change: BDA direct tuning mode: In direct tuning mode an internal network provider is now used instead the MS NP. Hopefully this will help with the $FFFFFFF Error on some x64 Vista systems. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...st&p=214283 Activate Options > Hardware > Direct tuning Quote Link to comment
