Auto video filter change when stream switch from Mpeg to H264

Hi all,

 

On the french encrypted terrestrial DVB, the encrypted chanels(H264 SD) switches from H264 to Mpeg2 during FTA period.

 

I have not found any DVBViewer feature to follow this peculiar chanels behavior.

..dunno whether "Auto-Update Channel" will follow the stream type change.

If auto channel update is switched on, at least DVBViewer GE should respond to a MPEG2 <-> H.264 change by retuning and rebuilding the filter graph, provided the PMT (broadcasted Program Map Table) signals the change correctly. I guess it's similar in DVBViewer Pro, but I never had a chance to test it.

..some data would be useful. @trifon33 could you open the transponder with transedit -> analyze -> save as xml, and post the result. To reduce the file size, please uncheck -> read EIT in the settings for the analyzer.

 

It could be that the stream type is mpeg2 though the content of the scrambled stream is h.264. A special viaccess module then will descramble and transcode the stream to mpeg2.
