Elapsed Time, remaining time, HD Space...

It would be very useful if one could know, while recording:

- MPEG2 info (instantaneous and average bitrate, resolution);

- audio info (MPEG/AC3 bitrate, channels...);

- elapsed time since start recording;

- remaining time (in programmed recording);

- consumed MB;

- remaining MB and/or remaining recording minutes on HD;

- projected MB for that recording session.

in other words a kind of Virtual Dub recording info panel.

Thanx.

... and a way to save MPEG2 on HD without decompressing and showing video, a very CPU-consuming and CPU-temperature-increasing operation :D

If anyone was interested in checking video quality and video scenes while recording, IMHO it would be enough showing a frame each 1-2 secs.

Greetings.

remaining MB and projected MB could be very usefull for people with little hard disks. Not every people have 160GB like me. :D

But i dont need the elapsed or remaining time. If i need this i have a look at my clock. I think shutdown after recording could be a good function.
