Hi

First sorry for my bad english!

I have some problem with DVBViewer Media Center. Download from members area OSD Menu Editor, start edit osd menu. I can move/add/hide media center menu but when I try to add some extra software, ex. games - it doesen't work! It's work only when I install this program in DVBViewer default folder!

How Can I add ex. new games or programs to menu media center? If I good remember 2-3 weeks ago I found solution how to do this (5 games which I add before works fine) but I reinstall my windows and lost all links!

Hope you understand!

Big thx. for help!

My Media Center OSD Menu works fine, but when I try to start any games from PC or ARCADE, it didn't work! Strange, but when I copy all files from folder MAME to folder DVBViewer - it work's! All files must be in DVBViewer, but it's dificult to keep all files without any other folders in DVBViewer folder.

OSD Menu work fine, it's look like DVBViewer block another application which I try to open. I can make some video and put in youtube if you don't understand me...?

Can you put here your osd file with added 3-4 programs, like emu MAME or another short program which open on full screen? (with files in separate folders on disk D) I will check your osd file on my computer...

Don't know whats happen, I try on 2 different Windows XP with SP3, when I try MAME, it's start loading room and close MAME window - but if I try this without DVBViewer - works normal! the same is with games from section "Pistolet" from my OSD Menu, have error, it's looks like "Can't open file" or "File doesn't exist" but when I try open from the same file but without DVBViewer, every time works ok! I'm confused, maybe you have any idea?

Just checked, when I try open MAME emu games from DVBViewer, It's show "Required files are missing" but all files exist! So it's not MAME problem...

Hello again,

I checked DVBViewer + my OSD MENU file on 4 different computers - my laptop, my girlfriend, my frined desktop and his girlfriend laptop. (Windows Xp and Vista 32bit) On all computers doesn't work, so I think problem is with DVBViewer? Also I edit new Osd Menu file and add only 3 games (2 mame + 1 Pc game), again the same problem!

Can someone help with this?

I try new DVBViewer + OSD Menu Edit = still the same problems! I edit new windowdef.xml from DVBViewer 4.2.1. 1st I add to menu "Games" 1 MAME emu games (put MAME folder in another hard drive) - doesen't work! Next I put all files from MAME folder to DVBViewer folder and try again. Now everything work!

My questions is, why MAME emu or another PC Game works ONLY when I put all files (or install) to DVBViewer folder? When MAME files are in different folder or games is install in another folder - doesen't work! Why?

Hi,

I think the program looks only in his own programdirectory (it can`t scan everytime the hole harddisk). I don't understand if you put your files directly to eg c.\DVBViewer\ or if is works if you used subdirectories... if is possible than you should try symlinks (softlinks) in Vista (c:\>mklink /d "C:\DVBViewer\games" "D:\archiv\mame"

) or junctions links in Xp (C:\>JUNCTION.EXE "C:\DVBViewer\game" "D:\archiv\mame"

Maybe it is a good idea you add your Mame folde to the system path variables, so that windows found them better.

Best regards

Olliber

I install DVBViewer in "C:\Program Files\DVBViewer", when I put emu mame files in "C:\Program Files\DVBViewer" - works fine, when I put it in "C:\Program Files\DVBViewer\MAME" - it doesn't work. How to do symlinks (softlinks) in Vista? I use normal XP and sometimes Vista...

This is emu MAME with game Mortal Kombat 3 (mk3) - you can try start this from DVBViewer menu:

I use now Win XP SP3 and don't know how "add the paths in the system environment paths"?

I think problem is with DVBViewer - I install 2 weeks ago Media Portal and emu works, I want know why don't work in DVBViewer...

Still with this problem, I already add paths with Games or Emu to the system environment paths but it not help! Emu or another programs, games only work when I put all files to the DVBViewer folder. If I create another folder in DVBViewer folder - doesn't work. Work only when copy all files to the main DVBViewer folder.

I'm sure is not problem with my PC, I checked this on WinXP and Vista on my laptop and my girlfriend. Also checked on my friend PC with WinXP - always the same error. I like DVBViewer Media Center but don't understand why this not work?
