the message say "you must restart DVBViewer in administrator mode" traduction of the french message :disgust:

ok, the facts :

- i'm under the administrator account

- i run Windows XP Pro

- GPU : Nvidia 7600GS drivers 190.38

- Cpu : Athlon XP 64 X2 4200+ chipset Nvidia Nforce

- same problem under Windows Seven on same computer

- all power saving disabled

- This is the only apps to get this behavior on this computer

hello Devastation:

in fact, the couple Name / serial, is right, the message is not "error in user data"

just you must restart DVBViewer as administrator.

i already check power behavior in BIOS, and all the "based on time" settings under XP, but i dont find the source issue

may be someone in my case ?

Start DVBViewer in DVBViewer Pro (Debug Mode) (find it in Startmenu\Program Files\DVBViewer\Support).

After the error make a new support.zip and post it here.

Do also for a test start in DVBViewer Pro (Safe Mode) if there is also the problem. No extra support.zip for this needed. Only tell works/works not.

"you must restart DVBViewer in administrator mode"

If you get this message you are using a not up-to-date language file. In 4.2.1 it should be "Error in Userdata! Please install the DVBViewer with the correct data!".

ok, Many thanks for response

Devastation :

i will try your solution and post results as soon as possible, Thanks

Tjod :

how can i use an old language file since before install 4.2 version i manually remove all the old Files, directory, reg entry, ...

moreover, under Win Seven (for Trying) i just install a fresh 4.2 version without 4.1 Version before.

i continue to search any kind of settings witch can be the cause of the problem with V 4.2

thanks a lot for your help :disgust:

one more thing

i dont know if is realist, but i have installed DVBViewer many times last week, (for tests purpose) but allways on the same computer many times after clean XP installation.

is it possible that my account was black listed and this error "restart ind admin mode ..." be the behavior of black listed account ?

i'm not sure but i suppose that i should get the same issue under 4.1 version ?

You get the old message as well if you change the language to English?

Link to comment

well,

with the language set to english the message is :

Error in User Data

Please install the DVBViewer with correct data!

Once again this issue dont appear with 4.1 version

of course i check the account settings in registry, and all seems ok

what can i do? ask for new credentials? if this issue is well the cause of black listed credentials

what is the rules for installation, may i install, uninstall, again and again on my computer or is there a limitation?

again many thanks for support.

regards,

Didier

I've nasty "Error in userdata" bug as well when using DVBViewer 4.2.1 on Win 7. UAC is set off, installed and using with full admin rights, no any antivirus tools in use, entered my userdata by typing it and double-checked it before entering (not that i'm thinking any TV watching application should ever require antivirus and UAC stopped, just switched em off for testing). Absolutely no effect! I really hope this bug will be fixed asap. ;)

I have the same problem with DVBViewer 4.2.1 every 5 mn a get a message "Run as administrator", in fact i got this message and "Error in user data" since version 4.0.

and i use a legal serial paid with my mony....!!!!

I presum that those massages are detecting an illigale serial, but it isn't.

j'en ai marre de DVBViewer, malgré que c'est un excellent player mais si les mesures anti crack pénalise les utilisateurs légaux alors non merci.

Je me tourne vers des lecteurs gratuit

Same problem of "Run as administrator" in french and "error in userdata" in english.

Soft closes after about half an hour if only watching And it closes after one minute if i try to record.

I'm a registered user, on windows 7 .

To make it work do the following 1- Fresh install make sure that you delete from the registry all previous keys

[removed, has no effect if you use a legal version]

4-Make sure that you type the user name and pass ,do not past and copy

I tested this solution and it works perfectly including the recording for more than 3 hours
