ReClock audio renderer and DVBViewer to realize

Recommended Posts

I ever reported that DVBViewer is hard to bitstream out AC3 to external amplifier under Windows Vista and Windows 7, details in below link:

Seems authors don't want A/B AC3 auto switch to be in DVBViewer in a short time. I just have a workaround for the bitstream out issue, that is to install and use ReClock audio renderer, a renowned audio renderer that can use WASAPI in Vista and 7 and do more.

First, you need to installed that latest ReClock from below link:

Then, configue it by:

(Pay attention to: 1. Accept SPDIF formats; 2. Use WaveOut as AC3 audio interface; 3. Choose your digit port as WaveOut device; 4. Don't mess up with DirectSound)

Then, choose ReClock audio renderer in DVBViewer DiretX option to use it.

Now, if the channel is AC3, ReClock will bitstream to your external amplifier. If the channel is PCM, ReClock will use DirectSound (or WASAPI if you choose it).

But I guess that only works if you don't use reclock for syncronizing audio and video for maybe mkv files or other video files.

No, I don't think there should be conditions or file formats that are not suitable for ReClock. If there were issues met in together with ReClock, you can report issues to:
