Hi

First all, sorry if is this question is easily found in forum, I didn´t get it.

I want recording my TV programs in mpg format, I have select this format in DVBViewer setup and in Recording service

but when I take a look with windows explorer folder recording all recordings are in ts format (extension)

Have I forgotten setting anything in DVBViewer?

Thanks in advance

.mpg recordings are only possible for channels with MPEG2 video.

Channels with h.264 video will always be recorded in an .ts file. Because it is not a good solution to put h.264 video in a MPEG2 (.mpg) container.

i´ve looked into your support.zip, but i have no idea why your recordings are in .ts and not in .mpg, in your setting all is right for recording in .mpg.

Are these recordings only from TDT? You wrote in your first post it causes at all recordings, really all, have you tryed some other channels also from other reception?

¿puedes recordar un poquito desde una emisoria de sattellite, quizas TV3cat desde Astra19,2° para comprar con TDT? ¿Hay "Transedit" en tu computadora?

Can you record a little from a transmission from a satellite, maybe TV3cat from the Astra19,2° to compair it with TDT? Do you have "Transedit" at yout PC?

Good castilian !!! Have you ever visit Spain?....

I have tested options correspondig file formats recording, and I noticed

own error in folder recording name in DVBViewer Recording settings, it had a old name than not exist in hard disk....

I´m not sure than was the problem, but.... now, I get recording in mpg format.

Mystery?

(All test recording are in manually mode) this afternoon will take a look a timer recordings..

Yes, I have installed Transedit in my PC.. Anyone problem with him? I use for scanning new transponders

Thanks Peter for you attention

You have a cold beer pay in Barcelona

Hola, no, i asked for Transedit, because it can be used for analyze the Transportstreams coming from the TDT or Sat to see if there are any irregulars.

Ok, cuando va a estar en Barcelona pienso en ti y la cerveza, o mejor una copa de vino. Fue solo en Madrid para dormir cuando tuve vuelos con Iberia entre Cuba y Alemania.

Mmmm, I´ve little lost about this

If I Record manually, ----->mpg format

with timier recordings (Recording service) ----->ts format

Anybody use RS with mpg format for timer recordings?

I attach 2 captures mpg setup in Settings DVBViewer and RS

i can´t find a cause, why it not is recording in .mpg. btw, why you want the recordings in .mpg and not in .ts? I record all in -ts, then i have the movie, all subtitles, all audio...

This way, I not convert ts to mpg some records, before edit with Pinnacle Studio 14 out publi (no admit ts files)

I know exist another software than edit ts files (Sony Vegas , for example) but Pinnacle is very easy for me

Thanks for your time , Peter

I hope they tell me something about this

I attach the 4 captures about mpg settings in my DVBViewer

Resume:

- I get only record in mpg file when I press REC icon in DVBViewer, all timer recordings channels (MPEG-2 video) with

Recording Service 1.5.0.70 beta, recorded in ts format

I´m waiting your advices

Thanks

May be there is something wrong with the channels stings.

In some cases .ts is used as fallback if it is not possible to record as .mpeg.

But, this is for all types of recordings, or only with Recording service..

I becomed strange, than when I press REC icon, works fine mpg format

Any recommended to do? May be ...scan TDT channels another time after erase? (SAT channels never are recording only TDT channels)

Are you agree with me is a rare thing?

Found mistery !!

First said it was my mistake,

my apologize to people wasted time for help me

I explain the cause, because somebody can help him.

I use Recording Service and I have all my recordings with "Autosearch timer" ,.....What happened?

In each timer recording I can select the video format (mpg or ts) but from Web interface RS

If I selected a recording with REC icon manually, worked fine, because the settings in DVBViewer were good.

May be the one thing to improve is the relation between DVBViewer and Recording service...

I´m sorry

Cheers everybody

I´m sorry
