The latest PowerDVD 10 was released today (3/18 China standard time), the 30-day free trial version can be downloaded from:

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/...load_en_US.html

After the installation, the unified decoder will be there in the dropdown lists.

Also, the PowerDVD 10 snapshots can be found in:

just change the merit of the h.264 codec

what are you talking about .....in the new pdvd10 there is no h.264 decoder present in DVBViewer options...only mpeg2 decoder!!

with tools like the RAD LIGHT FILTER MANAGER you can change the merit of codecs. The codec with the highest merit will be used by a DirectShow Component. The UNIFIED Decoder of Cyberlink is not present in DVBViewer because the defualt merit is set to "do not use". You can change it to an otehr merit and then you see it in DVBViewer.

No need to set merit or register filters manually for PDVD10, after installation, there are the codec options in the lists.

in Powerdvd10 there is no dedicated H264 decoder. The "unfiied" decoder(with neither SD or h264 in the name) works for h264 and can be selected in DVBViewer if you change this decoders merit

press and hold CTRL when you open the properties, then you see more options

Can you store the settings in the Decimation, Decoder and Display sections of the extended options? Here it doesn't work. After rebuilding the filter graph they are always reset to "Good".

same here, but it's always been with those settings - powerdvd9, powerdvd8 & powerdvd7 ...

That's bad, because watching H.264 HD on my ol' PC (AMD Athlon 3200+, no DXVA available) requires setting Decimation = Auto or Decoder = Fast. I've tried to find the according (probably missing) registry entry with RegMon, but without success.

I have the same issue of settings not sticking for the DXVA option. I have a NVidia 8500GT so dxva should be an available option. Any idea how this could be enabled?
