Where should we put Transponders and Plug-Ins in DVBViewer Pro v5.3.1?

Should they be placed in "Program Files (x86)/DVBViewer/(Plugins or Transponders)" or should they be placed in "ProgramData/CMUV/(Plugins or Transponders)"?

What happens if the Transponders and PlugIns are placed in both directories?

The correct folder is configuration folder\Transponders

C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\Transponders is only used as backup. If the configuration folder\Transponders doesn't exists, the DVBViewer will copy it to configuration folder\Transponders.

If configuration folder\Transponders exists only it is used.

Many thanks Tjod.

Does that mean I can safely delete "C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\Transponders" and does the same rule apply for Plugins?

Should the Plugins only be in the configuration folder or "C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\Plugins"?

If you are running the DVBViewer in UserMode 2, the deletion from C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\Transponders would not cause any problems.

But what is the benefit? around 200 KB of free space.

And about the Plugins, this topic is not about plungins and you are not the topic starter. So you should stay on topic and don't ask any other questions here.

Nevertheless Plugins belong in C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\Plugins and there config files in the configuration folder. But if you have further questions about plugins. Ask them in a different topic.
