Does ApplyConfig() work

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the functions for SetSetupValue() and applyConfig() work at all.

I've tried various settings and either they don't seem to change the contents of setup.xml, or the changes are overwritten with settings already in use when the DVBViewer program closes.

Thanks

Tim

Dont know what you are trying to do, but generally when doing any changes in files located in the configuration folder DVBViewer must be closed during the change. If you have RS installed you must stop service as well if doing any changes. The change should stick when restarting DVBViewer/RS.

Hi Majstang,

Thanks for the reply.

If I have DVBViewer closed, how can I change the settings using COM? These functions don't seem to be available in the other available interfaces for DVBViewer.

Kind regards

Tim

Sorry if I did confuse you, the method i did describe earlier has nothing to do with the COM interface...that was manually editing of config-files i was talking about. Making instant changes in the same files you need the DVBViewer COM interface/RS Webinterface. If using the COM interface you need to have a DVBViewer App/Client going because the COM server registers when you run the exe.
