JoeH Posted October 28, 2010 Share Posted October 28, 2010 I added the "Restart Recording Service" as a Timer. It ran, but the Recording Service crashed when it ran. I am attaching the support log, taken while the service was crashed. The "task" to restart the service ran at 11:00 AM. In the task bar the service appears as started, but does not respond, nor can I open channels. If I stop the service and restart it, the service crashes again immediately IF the "Internal Task Timer" to "Restart the Recording Service" is set to run today, but previously. What do I mean? OK, right now it's 2:15 PM. The timer is set for 11:00 AM. If I restart the service it crashes immediately. If, however, I set the time manually to, say, 3:15 PM, it opens. To fix it, I manually remove the timer from the svctimers.xml file and the Service starts correctly. Link to comment
