Installation problem: "Setup has detected that DVBViewer Pro is cu

Forgive me if this is answered elsewhere - I've searched the forum and can't find it mentioned.

 

I recently downloaded the latest version of DVBViewer Pro and when I try to install, I get the message "Setup has detected that DVBViewer Pro is currently running".

 

I've checked Task Manager and there are no other instances of DVB or associated services running. Nor is my satellite card being used by any other apps. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate

 

Any idea what might be causing the problem?

Maybe the Recording Service runs.

I'll take a look, but I'm pretty sure I'd closed that too.

I had this problem too. I think I ended up having to uninstall the recording service (no matter how many processes I killed )

Yep, that did it. Closing the recording service didn't work but a complete uninstall of DVB and reinstall to the new version did the trick.

You only need to stop the Recording Service right click on the systray > Stop Service.

I assume you guys only closed the tray icon, not the service itself
