transedit: save a scan

Recommended Posts

hello,

some prob with transedit

how to save eg a full sat channels scan to a new DVBViewer root?

it seems random: sometimes nothing, sometimes few channels (usually) , and sometimes all (less) :(

only exporting to a file with transedit then import with the DVBViewer "editor" works well

any suggestion or idea?

or is it possible to have the wiki page updated?

thanks

..could you explain? All new services should show in the (new) root.

for add a full one-sat scan with a new root

is it possbile to have a "step-by-step" explain?

really here it looks like a random one

maybe i wrong something, but i don't think so

at the end

filter 1 both

2 both

3 all selected!

in the root field i type some random neverused-name

then?

update all? (no)

select all then add/update (no)

thanks for any explain :(

define the root - select all -> add/update

..as I said, only new channels will be added. If you have some or all of services already in an existing root, the new root will only contain the new services to avoid multiple entries of identical channels! If you want them all in the new root, you have to delete the old root(s) and close the dvbv before starting a fresh scan. It took me also quite a while to realize this ;) Using ex/import is imho easier to understand.

sad, i see just now that the "add/update" "update all" "dead channels"

are in another window then the root field one

so for add another root is needed the "export to file"

not so complex but a bit ...

thanks
