robena
Hi, I would like to upgrade to upgrade to the latest DVBViewer version, but it is sorely missing 2 features that are only available with my current 4.0.0.0 version: - The timer dialog has a "Stop" button. This is extremely useful when I want to stop a repeating reservation. With version 5, to stop a recording you have to delete the reservation, and you need then to recreate it. - With 4.0.0.0, it's possible to choose whether or not a recording starts while displaying video. With version 5, you cannot longer chose, it always starts without. DVBViewer 4 was an incredible product, I feel a bit disappointed to see new releases losing useful features. It would be nice if they were activated again in the next release. Quote Link to comment

robena
See Timer/Recording Stats window. It's the menu item after the recording window. Thanks for the quick reply. That indeeds allows to stop the recording without deleting the reservation, but then you have to go to the timer dialog to update the repeating date to the next occurrence to prevent a restart when you stop DVBViewer. That works, but it's a two step process with version 5, instead of a one step process (go directly to the timer dialog) with version 4. Not a BIG deal of course, but a slight annoyance that could be avoided in the next release in the developers feel like re-enabling the Stop button. That leaves also the start with video feature. It can be a problem with some plugins, but I can't give details in this forum. Quote Link to comment
