recording more channels at the same time

I'm sorry - definitely no! For receiving two different channels at the same time you need two separate tuners, but there's only one on your DVB card. It's a hardware restriction...

It might be possible, if both channels are encoded in one data stream (from one transponder)... but that wouldn't help much in most of the cases.

i didnt expect it would be possible, but still had to ask.

well, i would like to record two or more different radio channels playing music, to later cut best songs to listen them in winamp.

Hello!

But what's about the feature I requested some time ago. The support of multiple DVB cards. Up to now there is no possibility to start multiple instances of the DVBViewer and there is no possibility to select the DVB card you want to use.

yes, that might be a way to receive two different channels at the same time... but I don't know if two DVB cards in a PC will work peacefully side by side without conflicts. Did anybody try this already?

Hello!

I have two Technisat Skystar2 cards installed in my system (WinXP). Both works fine. But I know no software that manage both cards. There is a listbox for selecting and configuring both cards with Technisats setup program, but the settings don't impact the TV4PC software. The only way, I know, to use both cards at the same time is to start the DVBViewer and Technisats TV4PC. They address different cards (in my system). Are there other experiences?

regards,

Marco

If Michael's PVR-Tool & recorder.exe could address the other card, it would be possible to record two channels at the same time - or to record one and watch the other (well, this also can be done with the DVBViewer and TV4PC, as you mentioned).

But I don't know if recorder.exe can be persuaded to work like that. This question has to be answered by Christian Hackbart or some other specialist here in the forum - or you just try...
