XBMC and Skystar USB HD 2 CI

Good evening,

i am trying for few weeks establish Satelite TV on XBMC 12 through recording service. Everything is working fine instead of switching channels. It will stuck on channel change. At lower right corner shows its doing something but program change does not work.

I tried USB DVB-T dongle Aver Media - AVerTV Hybrid + FM Volar and worked great. Is something in configuration service which is specific for SKYSTAR? I must mention, that in DVBViever channels change without problem for SKYSTAR too. Using Windows 8 64-bit Professional. TechniSat Skystar USB HD 2 CI drivers version: 1.0.6.102. Downloaded somewhere from google. (have not found on offi site - it looks like they dont support this model anymore)

Regards

Martin

How can I check if recording service is going ok? Which player can use it? Bought it cause i want it on XBMC. I am still not sure if its service case or XBMC. Or want send some logs? Just which and where to find them.

Found few interesting things. When i get only 3 channels in favorites i can switch two of them (CT sport and CT 2(qaa)). Switching works fine until i want switch to "CT 1(qaa)". Found log (C:\ProgramData\CMUV\DVBViewer\svcdebug.log)for card which says nothing, it does not matter if channel stuck or i change.

Log:

Tried to connect on local computer like wiki said and its working. Removed connection to satellite in DVBViewer - Settings - Hardware. Swtiches channels without problem.
Tried from another computer in home network via web port 8089 RTSP (m3u) - Nova HD channel works great with VLC media player for 15s, then stuck and needs to run m3u again via web browser link to view another 15s. :) Strange is that if i choose another channel it will show the first channel i tried. (Nova HD)

Now i can play only CT Sport on XBMC...

Direct streams via web interface works great.

A Bug in VLC http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/51714-rtsp-streaming-with-vlc-client-crash-every-20sec-aprox/#entry382223

For VLC use the non RTSP version.

If there are no problem with the DVBViewer as client. May be the topic about the XBMC DVBViewer Recording Service PVR Plugin is a better place for this question.

Last question. Can i use Recording service on one PC and DVBviever on another? Or need to buy another licence? Or i will break licence agreement if i install DVBViever on PC, then remove it and install on another PC of mine?

Link to comment

It is tolerated as long as DVBViewer / RS are used on different PCs only by you or close relatives in a single household. However, take care that no one else uses your username and password. Members area access by different people with the same credentials will lead to trouble. With other words: You have to do all downloads and updates.

Nevertheless I think it would be just fair to buy a second licence if let's say you and your son are using DVBViewer extensively and independently on different PCs.

Your licence politic makes me happy. If i use it more at home, i will buy more licenses. Whole DVBViewer team deserves it. :)
