Tony
Hi Griga & Lars, Oops ... UPC CR began testing 256QAM, TransEdit 3.9.2.0 incorrectly shows the modulation in the left window ...TransEdit 4.0 shows the QAM correctly . Edited April 26, 2013 by Tony Quote Link to comment
CiNcH
TransEdit just shows there what is specified in the ini file, so the value that has been specified for scanning. Seems your TBS can determine the modulation automatically in case a wrong one is specified... Quote Link to comment
Griga
QAM64 on the left side is not a "detected" value, but simply reflects the modulation setting for this transponder in the main window. If your device is able to detect the modulation automatically, it will receive QAM256 with an arbitrary modulation setting. If you want to see the true modulation, have a look at the cable delivery system descriptors in the NIT - Actual Network. Oops - CiNcH was faster... Quote Link to comment
Tony
Gentlemen, you are both right, of course, thanks for the clarification. Apparently, the only 256QAM = Auto and only then overwrites the modulation type in the ini file ...?(UPC CR tested yet, so the NIT does not contain new channel) Quote Link to comment
