Updating problems

The only thing I don't like about DVBVPro, is that every time I update to the new version, channels won't open. DVB-T favourites are greyed out. DVB-S channels sometimes work, others I have to delete hardware devices and re-scan them. My solution is to always backup a copy of the CMUV folder before updating, then copy it back after the update. This always works, but doesn't really feel right.

 

Isn't there a solution for this, or am I doing something wrong? I always select "modify existing settings" during installation.
