DVBViewer and several tuners of the same type

The issue is that it seems to be impossible to link the particular TV channel with the particular TV tuner. E. g., if there are several DVB-C tuners connected to different TV providers, you cannot be sure which tuner will be used for scheduled recording. Not a good idea. Please, let users to specify the particular device for each channel.

 

By the way, some tuners let choosing the antenna input for each channel but there is no such option in DVBViewer too.

Channel groups are designed for solving problems like this. Go to the Channel Editor -> right-click a channel, category or root folder -> Set Channel Group -> select the group that shall be assigned to the channel or all channels contained in a category.

 

Then go to Options -> Hardware and for each tuner select / unselect the channel groups it shall be used for. E.g. if group B is assigned to a channel, DVBViewer will only use tuners with group B ticked in the Channel Groups field for playing / recording this channel.
