So i have a regular license and i want to know if will ever published a version for Windows x64 and if this could be faster than the current version. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Tjod
What do you mean by "fastest". Program start-up time? How often are you starting the DVBViewer every day? Or playback speed? Do you want to watch a 90 min. film in 10 minus? Quote Link to comment
elia866
Hi Tjod, i mean fastest in zapping (open channel,etc.). Thanks ! Quote Link to comment
Tjod
There should be no difference if you using the same settings. But the TV card and mostly the TV card driver can make a difference. There is a German Wiki page which settings which can influence the channel switching speed. (all which will not cause any problems are already set) http://de.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Senderwechsel_beschleunigen 1 Quote Link to comment
elia866
Thank you very much, very helpful.! However you think an x64 version could still improve in speed zapping? Quote Link to comment
nuts
x64 Version could not improve speed zapping, but zapping with DVBViewer is already very fast if you are using a quick TV card. Quote Link to comment
elia866
Thanks guys, I am continuing to work in this aspect. What do you think influenced much more in fast zapping ? Ram? CPU? Video Card? or other aspects? Thnaks ! Quote Link to comment
Tjod
As I said already: TV card/TV card driver are the main factor. The question is how much time needs the driver to tune a new frequency and forward data to the DVBViewer.Other factors are how big are the buffer in each component in the playback chain.Things like Ram and CPU have no real influence. Unless you CPU is most of the time at 100% workload. Quote Link to comment
