Deneb72
Hi, First of all, i would like to thank the team beyond DVBViewer, it's a nice piece of software. The main problem that I encounter is the streaming of Live TV on a 5GHz wireless network (my router is an ASUS RT-AC66U) to my LG TV, the playback is choppy with HD channels, much better with SD channels but still unwatchable. All is fine on the server side because I can stream flawlessly with the same wireless network on every PC (I use DVBViewer, VLC or MPC HC as client without transcoding), my IPod Touch 5G and my Nokia Lumia 930 (the Recsvc Tv Client is a wonderful app for that). When I play a recorded ts file on the LG TV, all is working like a charm. I saw a file called uPnPProfilesV2.xml in C:\ProgramData\CMUV\DVBViewer\Config, do I need to modify it according to the specs of my LG TV or am I on the wrong way? PS: sorry for my bad english... support.zip Link to comment
Tjod
You are talking about UPnP streaming. Have you tried streaming recoding via UPnP? Is there a difference to live TV streaming? Changing the uPnPProfilesV2.xml can help if meta informations are causing this problem. A few informations about the uPnPProfilesV2 are here: http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/55364-recording-service-stability-when-streaming-to-samsung-smart-tv/?p=418983 But there is currently no one who knows the UPnP stuff very well. Thanks for the link. I followed your advice, the streaming of a recording via UPnP through my wireless network to the LG TV gives good results. No choppy playback at all. I wiil try to investigate on the uPnPProfilesV2.xml file. However, I ask myself how I could find the user agent string of my TV. Link to comment
Deneb72
A little feedback... I found an app on the russian LG store called Smart IPTV (http://siptv.eu/faq/) that solved my problem, except for one channel: arte HD. I don't understand why this channel makes some trouble. Any suggestions about that? Link to comment
ccristal
Hi, Deneb72! I am about to buy a SmartTV, and I'm looking into which model can support streaming from DVBViewer RS. I have come across the Smart IPTV app, and I would like to know whether it supports the following: can I connect it to my DVBViewer RS and stream from there? can I limit the channel list I see on the SmartTV to a subset of favourite channels? can I zap from one channel to the next? How long does the channel switch take? Thank you! Link to comment
Deneb72
Hi, ccristal Sorry for the delay but I'm not lurking around on this forum for a long time. I'm not a specialist in the matter of Smart TV so I can't recommend you a model. However, to receive the streams with Smart IPTV, you have to download your channel list as a m3u file and convert it to Smart IPTV format (http://siptv.eu/converter/). Then you can upload the generated file and write the MAC address of your Smart TV in the blank field (check this link: http://siptv.eu/mylist/). For the zapping time between two channels, it takes around 5 seconds. Link to comment
