dejong12
Hello, I've got a dual boot system running with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (RTM version). On Windows 8.1 I use Windows Media Center to record live TV and on Windows 10 I use DVBViewer to record live TV (both with DVB-C, Netherlands). For both Windows I use the Anysee E30TC with the latest BDA drivers (1.3.9.61). Windows Media Center on Windows 8.1 records perfectly, no errors. DVBViewer (recording schedule) on Windows 10, however, always have a few errors (around 5/6 for half an hour recording) , divided over the recording, screwing up the recordings. I've tested this a few times now, so I know the coax cable is fine. Could someone tell me what is happening here? Is this a DVBViewer error or a Windows 10 error? Link to comment
dejong12
I've since reinstalled Windows 10. For testing purposes I made a dual boot with Windows 8.1. On both Windows I installed DVBViewer and Recording Service, using RS as an Unicast Network Device in DVBViewer. Both use the same configuration folder. I've made a few recordings in Windows 8.1 -> not a single error. I've also made a few recordings in Windows 10 -> errors appear (i.e [15:35:36 / 00:05:07 (~ 386,48 MB) Errors: 2]). It seems to me this is a Windows 10 problem. I hope someone knows what's going on. Could it be related to Windows 10 removing codecs? Edited August 7, 2015 by dejong12 Link to comment
Griga
There is no relation between recording and codecs. The RS doesn't use them at all, except ffmpeg for transcoded streaming. Link to comment
BeAtS
Hey, Using RS 1.31.0 here on Windows 10. I previously used it on Windows 7 too few months ago. On both windows versions i had problem with some recording errors. I was wondering if there is any way on pinpointing these errors, where they come from. My cabling should be fine. Its all new premium cable. Example of a recording: 22:00:00 / 00:00:00 (~ 0,00 MB) Start Recording22:00:01 / 00:00:01 (~ 0,71 MB) PID 308: H.264 Video, 16:9, 1920x1088, 25 fps22:00:01 / 00:00:01 (~ 0,71 MB) PID 608: MPEG Audio Stereo, 48 khz, 256 kbps 22:03:29 / 00:03:29 (~ 194,90 MB) Errors: 122:10:25 / 00:10:25 (~ 581,26 MB) Errors: 222:29:58 / 00:29:58 (~ 1673,18 MB) Errors: 2 Link to comment
