Two DVB-S cards TBS6925 and second TBS6982. The first is connected to Gigertini dish with USALS. The second is connected to the monoblock switched commands Pos. A and Pos. B. for the satellites 19.2E and 23.5E. Channel List of course includes these satellites again for the TBS6925. Each pair of satellites (TBS6925 - (USALS 19.2; 23.5) ) and ( TBS6982 - ( 19.2E Pos. B; Pos. A 23.5E ) ) should make it possible to set up a standalone option DiSEqC. BUT IT CAN NOT. I have the latest version of the DVBViewer Pro. Channel groups are set.

You would need to the sat position twice in the resorption settings "Astra 19.2°E USALS" and "Astra 19.2°E Pos".

But having channel duplicates in the channel list isn't the best Idea. Because channel groups aren't a distinctive feature. If it comes to favourites, recordings or streaming via RS.

But it is not set. If I change " Astra 19.2 ° E USALS" to USALS, so also changes " Astra 19.2 ° E Pos " to USALS. Just these two entries on the worksheet channels have a common input DiSEqC . Otherwise I can not explain the behavior.

OK I would consider this a design Bug.

A workaround could be, to copy the Transponder list (so that you have a DVB-S_0192.ini and DVB-S_0192a.ini) change the Orbitalposition in one of them.

The Orbitalposition is 1= and the name in on of the lists to see the difference:

[sATTYPE]
1=0192
2=Astra 19.2°E

[sATTYPE]
1=0193
2=Astra 19.2°E a

The Orbitalposition for DVB-S should be between 1 and 3599. And it must be unique between all transponder lists in use.

So changing the last digit by one is mostly the best solution.

By using different orbitalpositions the channels are considered different for favourites and recordings.

But you need to rescan the channels where you changed the Orbitalposition.

The DVBViewer 5.6.2 UI does not allow to set up different DiSEqC for the same orbital position. There are two solutions, however. Better don't use the orbital position hack proposed above, but try the following:

(1) Set DiSEqC to Extended for the orbital positions in question and open the DiSEqC Editor. Insert the commands for USALS and for the switch in the monoblock LNB:

Since the switch will (hopefully) ignore the USALS command and the motor the switch command, it should work for both. It should even be possible to use a single Astra 19°/23° E channel list for both without channel group assignment.

(2) If the method above doesn't work as expected, you can change DiSEqC as required outside of DVBViewer. Assuming that there are two separate root folders for Astra 19° in the channel list, one for USALS and one for the monoblock, perform the following steps:

  • First set DiSEqC = Angular Position for 19°2 E (which means, for all 19.2 channels)
  • Select one of the root folders and export it as INI file.
  • Open the INI file with a text editor. You will see a DiseqC=9 entry for each channel (which means Angular Position). Use the search and replace function to replace it by DiSEqC=3 (which means Pos A /Opt A).
  • Delete the exported root folder in the channel list and re-import it with the changed DiSEqC setting (simply drag & drop the INI file into the DVBViewer Channel Editor).

After that you should have different DiSEqC settings for the same orbital position.
