Terratec H7 crashing windows

Hi,

 

I have successfully used DVBViewer with a sundtek tuner. However, I added a second tuner, a terratec H7, and since DVBViewer crashes whatever I do.

 

• If I try to watch a channel, windows crashes
• If I try to search for channels, windows crashes
• If I leave on recording service, windows crashes after some minutes

I tried changing the codec and renderers, no use.

I tried disabling recording service and using only the H7 directly in DVBViewer. Still crashes (restarts) windows.

I tried disabling the CI module. Still crashes.

 

Any hints? What can I do to try to fix this?

Don't use Windows 10. Most likely the H7 driver doesn't fit.

Try the newest driver for the Terratec H7. You driver is from 2010 and there is at least one from 2013 on the website from Terratec.

The H7 in question is a relabeled Twinhan / AzureWave (a known source of crash reports from Windows10 users). Terratec later also re-sold DVBSky devices under the same name. This has to be considered when looking for drivers.

Where do you find the 2013 driver you mentioned? The newest I can find is here: http://terratec.ultron.info/Receiver/TerraTec_H7/Updates/ and here http://www.terratec.net/details.php?artnr=10631#.VxjGuKiLRdh. Both are version 1.07.601 listed as 2010 in the device properties.

 

Seems the rev. 4 drivers don't work. I assume that is for the later version then.

 

Are there Twinhan / AzureWave that could be tried?
