Derrick
The underlying basis of all DVBViewer products is the channels.dat which was taken by the devs from B2C2 long time ago. The channels.dat doesn't really comply to the DVB standards. A DVB service is defined by the service ID and a plurality of elementary streams defined in the program map table (PMT). In the channels.dat each audio stream is a separate entry resulting in a high channel count. Later versions of the DVBViewer reduce this number to the real count. But not in transedit. A scan of e.g. 19E yields 2249 channels. After importing the 19E_channel.ini only 1465 channels are shown in the DVBV channel list. A normal user could think "what happend to the rest?" IMHO this needs a fix Quote Link to comment
Griga
No fix required. But not in transedit. A scan of e.g. 19E yields 2249 channels. Wrong. TransEdit reports "Found: ..." in the Scanner Window, not channels. It displays the number of list view entries, which means, after applying the filters. Untick the Filter 3 -> Audio Tracks checkbox, and you'll get the desired result. Quote Link to comment
Derrick
No fix required. ..but maybe a change? The relevant entity is the service and not found elementary streams because the outdated channels.dat stores them as separate items. BTW DVBViewer lists 1465 services for 19E whereas another tool only counts 1354 services Quote Link to comment
