blomman
Using 5.6.4, how do you scan to a new root without updating old channel list ? if i name a new root "zzzz" and scan 1 frequency only new channels is added to the new root, existing ones is updated. I prefer to update my channel list manually. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Derrick
IMHO not possible because the channels.dat only allows a single copy/channel With Transedit it is possible to send single channels to the DVBViewer. Quote Link to comment
blomman
Thanks for your reply, ok now i know, it used work in an older version. Can you force the scanner to only add new channels ? i noticed an option in edit channels "don't update channels automatically", is that one used for that ? Also, can you find what channels was updated after a scan ? Quote Link to comment
Tjod
You should use "don't update channels automatically" only for channels where it was necessary to change channel data manually. Otherwise there should be no reason to prevent the update of the channel data. And it shoud be the first setting you remove if you get problems with one of such channels. And there is no list of updated channels in the internal channel scan (only in TransEdit). And to seen new channels using a new root is the best solution. Quote Link to comment
