nararakl
Hi, I want to get the DVBViewer running. It works, but immediately turns CPU usage to 100% (DVBViewer.exe - 99%). So I cannot even switch a channel. After closing the application the process remains running. Reinstallation of DVBViewer to get the correct installation sequence with DirectX - same problem. Deselecting the Fraunhofer component in Media Player installation - same problem. My config: Celeron 2.8 GHz, Skystar 2, Radeon 7000 series,512 MB Memory, Win2K SP4, IE 6.0, DirectX 9.0, Windows Media Player 7.1, Intervideo DVD 6 as DVD Player, Drivers of Technisat CD used for card installation. Any ideas? Do you need more information? Thx for your help dvbviewer_log.zip Quote Link to comment
Klausing
Which driver version? Quote Link to comment
nararakl
Driver version of B2C2 is 4.2.1.9999 Could this relate to usage of EPG? Setting the checkmark under options "kein EPG einlesen" seems to reduce CPU usage dramatically Quote Link to comment
nararakl
It's resolved. After downloading all that Technisat stuff (>20 MB!) and updating the driver to version 4.3 everything is fine now. Obviously Technisat is providing still the old driver version in the bundle of the Skystar 2 card Why can't you easily find just the driver somewhere? Quote Link to comment
Guest Oliver
I generally advise against using drivers >4.28 since all later releases have a serious bug concerning PCI-bus stress which leads to stuttering sound. You need at least driver release 4.2.10 for an Airstar, though. Bye Quote Link to comment
