lehtikissa
Now that you're preparing changes to auto-timers (or database handling related to them), here is a feature improvement idea: 1. Let's assume there is an auto-timer that looks for programs starting with name "Example name" (which is a recurring series). 2. Let's assume that one time whole program name was only "Example name" (there was no detailed title available in EPG to tell episode name, number, etc.) when it was received from EPG and with that information it was also saved to database after recording. 3. Later EPG again has a program with only name "Example name" without any details. Auto-timer finds it and creates a disabled timer because there already is a similar recording in database. However, that name was only preliminary and later in the week the program details are updated in EPG and it turns out to be a new episode that is not yet recorded. But at least in current version DMS doesn't seem to check for changes like this, so the timer still remains disabled. I think it'd make sense to have DMS check for such changes. However, it is best to implement the feature so that timers can later only get enabled automatically. Ie. enabled timer can never get disabled automatically. This would help avoid any timers getting incorrectly disabled due to technical issues in EPG during the week. Quote Link to comment

Try in the Search EPG page of the web interface to key in Date Range today to tomorrow today and tomorrow are variables that are calculated when the "Create Auto Timers" task is executed. This way autotimers are only created one day ahead. This of cource assumes that DMS is up and running frequently. In the next version of DMS additionally today+1, today+2, today+3...etc. will also work. Edited November 27, 2017 by Delphi Quote Link to comment
