Command to playback media file

DVBViewer showed itself to be the most suitable player for .H264 files created with IP cameras. But it isn't convenient to open such file using the menu Playback > Open Media File...

Is there a more simple way to run DVBViewer to play a media file, for example via command line? Thanks in advance for your help.

Alternatives are

  • the command line (even works if DVBViewer is already running because a second instance notifies the first one and then termnates immediately).
  • drag & drop the file into the  DVBViewer main window. You may also drag & drop more than one file. The first one is played, all are enumerated in the playlist (see Playback menu) where they can be selected.
  • drag & drop the file onto the DVBViewer icon (shortcut or EXE file) if DVBViewer is not yet running (more than one file is also possible).
  • create an M3U playlist containig the files in question in the DVBViewer Playlist Window and use the Save tool button to make it the standard playlist that is automatically loaded when DVBViewer starts.
