Recordings' path specification

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Maybe I am rather dumb, but I could not find where in the Media Server or in the DVBV Kodi add-on I can change the recordings location.  In the Status tab of DMS, the Recordings directory is given, but where can I change this directory ?

  • Right-click the blue Media Server icon in the system tray on your server PC.
  • Select "Configure Server".
  • In the DMS options, select the Recorder page.
  • Add the new directory to the Directories list.
  • Use drag & drop to move it to the top position or delete the old one.

OK, thank you, it worked perfectly.

This right click on the system tray icon is quite important. It displays options that does not seem to be available in the browser user interface. When I posted my question above, I had no icon in the tray.

Should it be always there ? Maybe it was not present because at that moment I was still with DMS Basic...

Anyway I suggest that all the options should be available in the browser interface because this tray icon is not very safe.

It is always there, also with DMS Basic, as long as DVBVCtrl.exe is running. This little program is installed  as being auto-started by Windows. However, by default Windows hides tray icons, so you probably need to make it visible permanently:
