Live playback bug while recording

Sorry for bumping in; I noticed an error, it doesn't affect the recording but it's there.

While recording a tv channel, I'd like to play it live - the playback works fine, but if I select 'Playback' "Stop", nothing happens. I try it again 'Playback "Stop"... then playback stops (recording contines on normally). (Menu: Playback - Stop). Cheers  *using latest DVBViewer Pro v7.0.0.0*

Since I don't know your settings and under which circumstances it happens (you didn't attach a support.zip), I have to guess.  I can reproduce the issue under the following circumstances:

  • I play a channel live and start a manual recording (by using the red record button in the tool bar).
  • DVBViewer 7.0 immediately uses the ongoing recording for automatically switching to timeshift mode. This is one of the new features requested by users. It means, without explicitely starting a timeshift recording I can pause playback or jump back in time, e.g. by using the control bar.
  • Now a first click on "Stop" does not stop playback, but stops timeshift mode, as intended, which means, live playback is disconnected from the recording. It can be seen in the control bar. If Options -> TV/Radio -> Warning on timeshift termination would be checked, I would get a warning. After that there is no possibility anymore to jump back in time by using the ongoing recording. Pausing playback would start a new timeshift recording.
  • The second click on Stop stops playback in the usual way.

So it's not a bug, but a feature :) Please read more about it here. Nevertheless the handling can be discussed, if someone thinks it should rather be done in a different way.
